A Lot More Planning Needed

Introduction

Good afternoon to all you lovely people at the Great WA Family, trust that you are all keeping both safe and well.

Not quite sure how long this blog will be today, as I have just returned from my second Church service and wreath laying. All the fresh air and some walking has left me rather tired, but we will see how I progress.

It was nice to attend two churches that mean a lot to me. the one this morning was in a tiny village where I went to primary school for a few years, eventually writing a history of the Church.

The one this afternoon was in a village which has many family connections going back some two hundred years. Some years ago, I did compile a book on this village, it was reprinted some four times.

In addition to the history of the Church, I helped to develop the Memorial Garden, where the new War Memorial now sits. It was also nice to meet some old friends again, some from my childhood.

The heading will no doubt have you thinking, now what has he done, in truth not a lot, as you will see in a minute.

The Last Few Days

I have listened to your advice regarding the decorating, doing just a short spell when I felt like it. The result is that the bedroom is actually finished apart from painting the ceiling, this could be tackled this week. It will depend on my neck and shoulders, but I do promise to be sensible.

On a couple of nice days, I have managed to spend a little time in the garden. my enthusiasm got a lift on Friday when the very overgrown conifer hedge was chopped down to a legal height, this means that when I am able, that I can now trim the hedge on my side.

Now to the reason for the title of this week's effort.

On scouring files, and the hard drive, I discovered a number of articles, books and other items that I can use for the business. When I examined things more closely, it became apparent that I needed to sort things out in more detail to avoid becoming totally confused and lost in what I am trying to achieve.

As a result, I am going to have to list all my websites, articles, e books, and products. Then try to put them in some sort of order before I go any further, in other words, Stuart has made a mess of things again, by trying to do too many things at once, will I never learn?

The Next Few Days

Feel that the best plan will be to list everything on a blank A3 sheet, then look at what is where. From hare it might be an idea to do a mind map in the hope that I will then have a clearer picture of what I need to do in order to progress and get going in the right direction once more.

Talk about the best laid plans of mice and men, they have nothing on me, do they?

The decorating and gardening will be fitted when I am able, or in the real world, able to do things without making my neck and the top of my spine any worse.

Conclusion

Managed to do more than I thought I would, however it is apparent that I really must try to get a grip of things once more.

Hopefully next week I will be able to report that some progress has been made.

Be Happy, Healthy and Wealthy.

Please do stay safe,

God Bless.

Stuart

Hey VH

I think you make a LOT of progress every week. It may not be all with WA, but we're retired and this is our life!!!

I make a lot of progress as well albeit not with WA. Today is the first day that I have been able to be home all day without being sick. With the exception of 1 1/2 days, I've been running everyday for 2 weeks and not allowing my body to fully recoup. I finally feel like I'm there and have done a LOT today. Stuff I've been procrastinating on.

Now, I've lost my book with all my passwords! Sometimes I have to wonder about myself! I've had that little book forever and keep it in the same place. It's driving me crazy and right now, that's a SHORT drive!!!

Raining here today but no complaints as it's NOT snow like they are already having up at my MILs. I'm glad I'm no there!

So, off to look for my book once again. Do take care for the rest of the week and don't forget the pix.

Your VW

Hi VW,

Running, I am totally impressed, not sure that I could anymore, but I am somewhat older. lol.

Know the feeling regarding your password book, I have one, when I moved the office downstairs, I had a devil of a job to find it.

The problem with working from the lounge is that I have nowhere to put anything, so the settee is a mess with books and other bits that I need.

Regarding the pix, must work out how to do them first!! But the decorating is finished.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

As always,

Your VH

I'm with you. Thousands of notes and no way to find them when I need them.
I learned about Zetelkasten about a year ago. there are a lot of gurus out there making it look hard so they can sell books and classes. Actually, it is quite simple.
I don't think this is the right place to discuss Personal Knowledge Management (PKM) but if you want to discuss how I'm developing my PKM let me know.

Many thanks Bill.

Sounds like it's time for a little website housecleaning. We all go through the process now and then, I think ...at least, I know I do. Sometimes it's really necessary in order to figure out where we're going next.

Thank you so much for your comments, had decided today that is what I must do first.

File organization is perplexing for most everyone except those with OCD. Enjoy those room enlivening projects but be careful of your own body and don’t press. Keep loving church and he whom you reverence there, HE lives!

Thank you for your kind comments.

Hi Stuart...it's so lovely that you have such a tie to your history and community. That sounds so refreshing for the soul. It does look like you're keeping yourself busy these days. Best of luck to you with the rest of the decorating and organizing your files. Take it easy.

Susan

Thanks Susan, I am slowly realising that I have to take it a lot easier these days.

Take care.

Stuart

It is a like a baseball batter trying to hit 'too many' different pitches. Please concentrate on hitting pitches that are manageable.

Many thanks for your sage advice.

It seems to me, Stuart, that you are actually getting a LOT done in different areas, which is what we all must do in this life!

Well Done! Keep succeeding!

Jeff

Thanks as always Jeff.

Stuart

You're always very welcome, Stuart!

Jeff

It's nice to read you are already working on your plans for next week. It is surely awesome to be able to attend two church services, that alone is a true blessing to me. Plus, you have got to enjoy a peaceful walk as well, which is needed to clear your mind and think. Please keep us updated on your progress, and take it easy to avoid putting additional strain on your neck and shoulders.

Thanks Jannette for your reply.
