Introduction

Good Morning to all you lovely people at the WA Family, hope as always that you are keeping both safe and well. Do appreciate that it is Saturday Morning and that this is normally written on a Friday. The clue is in the title.

As you will see started the week off really brightly getting to grips with my new thoughts. However, I had not factored in a couple of total time wasters. As an executive member of the County Cricket Team, we had two night matches this week at home, on Tuesday and Friday, that almost writes off half a day on each one.

Thursday night we were away, but I was able to watch the entire game on my computer, an evening gone.

On Monday the Gas Board phoned could they carry out the annual service on the central heating, as they had not been for nearly two years it was please come. This wasted Wednesday morning, when they had been, it was weekly shopping.

The Last Few Days

Not quite sure what I said last week regarding mu new thoughts, but at the risk of repeating myself, this is what I have decided to do from now on.

Have a much neglected website, to which I have now attached my new shop, this domain is my brand name, so it makes common sense to use the site. Starting to think at last.

Intend to use this site as the main plank of all my other activities, with links leading off to other sites as required. It might make more sense to have a menu on the sidebar, but we will see what develops.

Will also have an opt in page to enable me to guide people to both my shop and any other offers, which I wish to promote.

Have made a start having done a 1,000 plus word article on the site to inform my readers of my intentions and plans for the future, this will be added to as I develop my thoughts before I publish it.

Having said that it is my brand name, when I opened up the site, to my horror, no brand name, it must have gone when google was moved to Firefox. It is now back where it should be.

The more that I think about what I am intending to do the more that is makes common sense.

The only downside that I can see to this, is that I need to put in a lot of groundwork, before I can get back to building my list, so I am doing things in easy chunks.

Spent sometime yesterday with my graphic design tool, have a banner and book cover done. Must confess that the book cover does look so much better than the one that I had designed in word.

There are so many pieces to put in place, it is almost like a gigantic jigsaw puzzle. Do have a list of what to do, but it does not really matter as all the pieces must be done first, before I can go live on anything.

Having looked at the website, am fortunate that I do have a lot of future articles started, so when I get the site back up and running will be able to work on those fairly quickly. That, of course is someway down the line at the moment.

Done some work on what I have on the hard drive already which I can use, making notes of their location. This I have failed to do in the past, often thinking how useful something would be, then forgetting where I found it in the first place.

Despite the loss of time, have been able to pay my daily visit to Live Chat, managed to help one or two this week, which is always good. Somehow have also been back in the top 100 for a whole week, wonders will never cease.

Looking back at the past couple of years, I feel that in someways that I have been playing at running a business, rather than actually running one. Would like to think that I have now an idea of where I want to be, so I know where I want to be from now on.

Thought Of The Week

This quote so much expresses what I am thinking and where I am at with my own thoughts. In other words do not just think it, or say it, but do it.

The Next Few Days

While I am been writing this, as often happens thoughts come into my mind as to where should I go next.

The first thoughts are:

  • Set some goals for the week.
  • If possible allocate a time to complete these goals in
  • Have a longer time frame for future goals, or a proper development plan.
  • Continue training.
  • Do more research.
  • Continue to list what I have already that can be of use to my future plans, including a list of their location.
  • Try to really get focused on my future, stop procrastinating, and get organised, or just stop messing about.

Having read this again, think that I am really missing not having my printer working, this enables me to print a to do list, this I keep on my desk, which I find it a lot easier, than hand written notes.

Realising what I have just written makes me think about seeing if I can get the printer working this week, still another job that if I get it going will be worthwhile.

Conclusion

All in all given the time which I have lost this week feel that it has been a little productive, at least I can now see where I am going, especially with my thoughts for the future.

The main topic that rears its head, is that I am possibly not as organised as I ought to be, or am I trying to do too much, feel a day or two of organizing my thoughts coming on. This time I will try to promise myself that I will carry out what I decide should be done.

Be Happy, Healthy and Wealthy,

Please do stay safe.

God Bless

Stuart

Hey VH. You're losing a few hours. I'm losing a few DAYS at least. I've been going non stop since I hit NY!!!! I SO need a vacation! I come to NY to work pretty much. I'm heading for home (VA) on Wed but it's a days drive and I'm whipped when I get home. No rest for the wicked they say........... :-)

It sounds like you have a lot of partially done projects. Maybe work on one to completion then move on one at a time. You'll see the progress and feel more motivated. Perhaps you ARE still doing too much though. I'm guilty of having too many irons in the fire all at once too.

We'll get there one step FORWARD at a time. Just don't go backwards! Have a glass of Malbec for me. It's been a LONG day and I'm heading to bed very soon!!!

Hi VW,

New York to work, sounds like fun lol. Thought that you had retired and just did your WA bit now, just take it steady and don't you overdo it either.

Agree to many bit projects, the trouble is that I need to keep my eye on them as I forget what I was doing with them. However time for a complete re-evaluation of everything that I do.

Can see a very large sheet of paper coming out, seeing what I have on the go, then decide where to go from there, but am determined that my brand name will now be the centre of the busuness, it is just what to spin off it.

Thanks for listening dear VW, comments as always very welcome, when you awake refreshed.

Work as in sewing, making cakes, helping with computer stuff for my daughter's business. My daughter always has a "mommy do" list. Then I came to my MIL and it's helping with her projects like cleaning siding, her house and the pool. The house is really getting too much for her but she won't admit defeat. Of course this weekend my SIL had a graduation party here and I made the cake along with helping with set up and clean up.

It's going to be 92 here today. No air conditioning. If that could only melt fat in all the right places! 😆😆😆

Heading back to VA Wed thankfully. I'll come back in Aug to paint the pieces, deck and stairs.

I need to plan my WA activity better for when I travel. I've been negligent. I still have faith that there's hope for us yet. We'll get it all together. 😉

Your VW

And I thought that I was busy, you are one really lovely person helping others as you do, hope that you are appreciated by your MIL.(ex?)

Must confess that I to try to help others too much.

Your VH

Yes, she's an "ex" but I feel obligated to her. She and my FIL helped me get out of a bad marriage even though it was their son. I'm close to his whole family and see them way more than he does. Sadly he's only seen his grandchildren twice. Everyone has to live their own life though.

I bet you help others more than we know!!!

Life, marriage and even family can be a sad affair sometimes, but pleased that you are on an even keel now. Always remember a great Uncle of mine, who left my Aunt, telling me never to stay in a bad marriage, he was so right. (Though my ex left me - lol - for someone I worked with) I do still speak to her when I see her, and offer a silent thank you.

Will not pass a comment on how I help (or do not) help others.

Too much information tonight.

Take care

Your VH

Great to hear from you Stuart!

In life, even the best laid plans need a little tweaking or adjustment as no one knows what could be around the corner.

But it certainly sounds to me like you had a productive week and I hope it has continued into the weekend for you my friend.

Be Wealthy, Healthy and happy too!

Cheers Jessie.

Despite life matters getting in the way, and I can certainly relate, Stuart, you still got a lot done! Well done, my friend!

You're welcome, Stuart!

Hi Stuart
It strikes me that most of the things you’ve done this week (all that cricket) has been because you enjoy it!
I think that far from wasting time, you’re making the most of it doing things you love!

Which county is it?
:-)
Richard

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your comments, it us Derbyshire.

Regards

Stuart
