Are you sure its a Link and not a Code?
The procedure is different for each one.
Adding Links and Codes into your articles
For a LINK - First off all in your Wordpress you have your article in Edit Mode.
Highlight a relevant piece of text.
Click on the little Paperclip Icon within the menu.
A box appears directly underneath the highlighted text.
You insert your affiliate link.
Then click on the little Cog Wheel to the right of the box.
Next Screen
make sure the link is actually showing in its box and tick the little Open In New Tab.
Click Insert.
Your highlighted text will have turned blue.
Click on Preview and text the link.
If it takes you to where its supposed to then job done.
For a CODE - However if its a Code you have that has to be inserted wherever you want the Text or Ad to appear within your article.
You must place your cursor within your article wherever you want it to appear.
Then you click on TEXT, not Visual to the right of the menu.
You insert the code.
You click on VISUAL and you should see your Text or Ad.
Click on Preview to test it and if it takes you to where its supposed to then job done.
Hope all is clear.

How much content should you put on a site from day to day
According to research, the length of content must be at least 2,500 words if you want to rank higher in SERPs.
If you can do at least 2-3 posts a week with great keywords that is a great start to help build your site up and have the search engines find you more often.
As for the word count focus on around 1000 words.
The key is regular great content with great keywords and min of 1000 words to your post.
Wishing you well
Andre
Most welcome don't forget to check with Jaaxy for the keywords as well.
Have a great week ahead

Ok so I was wondering if history could be considered a niche as it's kind of a hobby of mine
I would argue that History is definitely a niche. It's basically a sub-niche of education, which is great.
Also, never forget that above all else, the internet is an information platform. Yes online shopping has exploded but the majority of people still come online to find information.
Sharing history is information, so it's another indicator for a great niche. You also have tons of possibilities to grow your site, for example building an email list through a weekly history fact that you send out.
And once you see which keywords bring you the most traffic, you will see in which parts of history your readers are most interested in. And then you can expand on that topic for more traffic, or even create an ebook on it.
Etc. etc. So my point is, I think it's a great niche xD
Go for it! I think you could even go deeper and select a sub-niche of history for your blog, for example writing only about "Greek History" etc.
The question to ask yourself is how will you make money from this niche. This training by Magistudios may be of interest to you. WA LIVE Niche Case Study Series: Week 1 of 5
