Thanks Abie. That's on my bucket list already. Looks like it needs to move up a few notches.

I receive a report from Google Search Console that told me about five articles I've written on my website that failed to be indexed because redirect errors. As per my question,
Please check the following resource
https://www.onely.com/blog/how-to-fix-redirect-error-in-google-search-console/
Hi there, I had the same problem. Can you explain in more detail what the redirect URL says? Go back to GSC, click the redirect, look at the URLs, and then click the window to see it; what does it show? Does it show a page not found or what? Or are the articles similar URLs- look more closely at the URLs. Did you interlink the five pages? Internal linking? To fix it, you need to know what is causing a redirect, did you remove pages, and now have similar pages that were removed before and now a new one? That's what happened to me. I had an about Brenda page, then I removed it, then created a new about me page, so instead, it became a 301 permanent redirect to about-brenda-2. So also, look at your permalink- does anything look similar?
Hi Brenda, thanks for your detailed response. What I still don't understand is, what is a redirect error? What is/are the cause(s)?
Bob
Bob. I am looking for resources for you to read. It would be hard for me to explain as the English language is not my mother tongue. I use sign language.
Google says " a Redirect error” is a Google Search Console status. It means that bots didn’t get to the destination URL as a redirect you set up didn’t work or encountered an error on a URL level. It also indicates that the affected page wasn’t indexed."
First, you must look at the URL looks like this example https://omethingdotcom/categories/nameofpost.
Analyze the list of the affected pages in Google Search Console.
Second, browse the list of the affected pages in the Page indexing (Index Coverage) report to assess the scale of the problem or look for any patterns in the affected URLs.
See my screenshot. Look at the arrows; when you see the page redirect, click that. I have two pages that I removed; then, when I added them back using the same name, it changed it to a redirect using about-brenda-2
Do you have an SEO Plugin? Which one are you using? Did your SEO plugin do a redirect that you know about?
It's essential to look at the list of redirects -What does the site show?
https://namedotcom/permalink like that
how many of those are there? Thats what I want you to find out.
Thanks for your help. I have four that say there was a redirect error that failed. I was looking where you said in your screenshot. I don't see the problem. All I know is what I've told you. I'm not sure what to look for. The urls all look normal to me.
I'll continue to inspect and read etc.

Thanks for your response Abie. I thought my question wen to support but it ended up here. It's probably because the first question asked when trying to create a support ticket is if it's about my website. I said yes but the one it's about isn't/wasn't one of the choices because it doesn't exist. So, I changed my answer to no and the question ended up here. Is there another way to contact support?
You are writing to site support from your PM inbox. However, not if you have used the link I included.
