I know I have heard Kyle say in the training that Google doesn't like duplicate material. So my question is this, what is I have two different websites, I want to write an art
Hi - yes, Google won't be aware that you own both websites. It will simply see that the article on the second site is a duplicate from the first one. It would be better to just summarise it on the second site and add an external link to the original source.
Is it bad to cross-post articles?

Hi, I am agreeing with JKulk1, If you start out duplicating article, you will continue in that pattern and not only that, it will not allow you to think independently. you need to get the creative juices flowing and ideas will come naturally.

I just completed level 1 onf the training and as I browse through level 2, I don't see anything in designing the website/customizing the templates. Where do I go to learn how
Hi - adding visuals is covered in Level 2 Lesson 6. A lot of members here use Canva for designing their own logos.

I am looking for some opinions on buying a domain name? Do you think I should work on building my website up more and perhaps getting ranked BEFORE purchasing a domain? Or wil
Hi - remember that the age of a site plays a part in Google's rankings, so I personally would get your own domain up and running.
So good to know! Based on all the answers here I think it is best to go ahead and buy the domain name ASAP. Thanks for your feedback and help in making my decision.
Hello
If you are serious about building your business online ,than I recommend you buy and own the domain.
Why?
You will own your own domain ,it looks better and it will be ranked and promoted easier. Speaking from experience.
It is much better than using place holder names to build a website ,because once you are done and will want to buy a domain ,
You will have to do all the work again , so really ,if you are serious ,buy the domain name ,it is your best course of action in building an online business.
Besides it only costs like 14$ or well less than 15$ ,which I think everyone can afford. But it is always your choice :)
I wish you much success !
Best regards
Ziga
Thank you so much for your input Ziga! I appreciate you taking the time to answer my question :-).
I would definitely buy the domain name before you build your site and try to get .com as this is favoured as a good choice
Go well
Vicki
Thank you so much for you feedback. I was considering a domain with something other than a ".com" so I am glad you mentioned that to me!
Do you mean to buy an already registered domain? If so, I advise you not to buy. Create your own identity.
If you are talking about choosing a domain and register and advise to register your domain before even using the free extension. For you will already be creating your identity for search engines.
I meant choosing a domain to register. And you recommend getting it as soon as possible to begin building that identify? Note taken. Thank you so much for your feedback :-)!

What are the benefits of blogging on WA??
If you mean within WA then there are no financial benefits.
Publishing blogs within WA shows you are getting involved with and helping the community.
If you publish a good quality blog with a good keyword and seo then just like an article you publish on your site the blog will get indexed and ranked with the search engines and people will come to read the whole blog and may signup.
If that happens you will get the credit so in a way that is a benefit.
Robert
Thank you for your answer!! I didn't know blog posts in here could get ranked on Google, or that I could get referral credits if someone joins based on my posts. So good to know!
I have had many blogs get a good rank and people do come to WA to read the whole blog and I have had signups because of this.
Now I'm off for the night.

This is a multi-part question. How does one move up in the ranks? Is it simply posting in the live chat and such? Is there any incentive for moving up in rank, or just braggin
Hi - your rank is determined by your activity within the community.
This includes asking and answering questions, creating training and blog posts, welcoming new members and participating in Live Chat. There are no perks, bonuses or monetary rewards for being highly ranked, not even for being an Ambassador, which means being in the top 25. You are simply seen as a trustworthy and reliable member of the community.
Your time is better spent working on your website.
