The Story of My Life and How I Got to WA
First of all a big shout out to all those following me thank you. And to Kyle and Carson for creating this place and community. Just wanted to let people know a little more about me and how I ended up here. Show my appreciation to everybody and at the same time practice my writing skills. :)
So I'm Quentin 40 year old christian gentleman. Single but not looking :) My interests include model railroading, singing song writing, fishing, boating, camping, and painting. Here are some pics.
The Start
We grew up on a farm close to the great NWT border. Where the summers were nice and warm but you had to watch out for the mosquitoes. They were so large if you were small enough they could carry you away.😉 The winters were so cold the mercury in the thermometers got smart and stayed inside like the rest of us. And I'm not kidding those day's nobody knew how cold it got.
We lived there till I was in the 3rd grade then we moved to the sunny okanagan valley in British Columbia. A small town called Enderby over shadowed by cliffs and nestled along the shuswap river where we spent many hours swimming in and tubing down.
The Mid Life
I ran a construction company there making an average of 100k a year. If only we could have seen into the future we would have saved some money for a rainy day. But alas, the mini crash came and we lost our work. Without any savings it doesn't take long for money to run out.
Then we ended up moving to SK where we are today. It was here where I picked up a gut infection losing 60 pounds in the process. Also, getting drop foot where you lose your ability to control your muscles in your feet. When you lift your leg to take a step, your foot drops and drags along the ground. Very hard to walk and much harder to work.
What Next
So with no ability to work, money running out and bills coming due I was a starting to panic just a little. My life was turned upside down and I didn't know what I was going to do.
Then I found this site and it gave me hope once again. In a world where it's hard to find help, my faith in humanity was restored that there are still people out there willing to help. So thanks once again Kyle and Carson and all the great people on here. You've given me hope that I can make something work if I put an effort in.👍

I have some great amazing friends with drop foot. I think it can be cured but some say I am a goofball. It is a beautiful story. Is okanogan by Okanogan county? I went to college in Omak by Tonasket Washington for nursing. I like your art, and wonder why the gut and foot problem. Construction can be hard. Did one of those blasted vampire mosquitos get you? It is none of my nosy business. But I cannot stop wondering. Anyway, if I can help out please let me know.

Hi Nurse Becca Okanagan valley where we lived is up in British Columbia Canada. As for the gut and foot problems don't know yet but have a Dr. appointment on the 25th so hopefully can get some answers. I"m glad you like my paintings I learned off of Bob Ross dvd's probly like a lot of people and have found out that painting can relieve a lot of stress it's helped me.
I wonder if it could be an immune and or neuro/muscular problem. Foot drop is no fun be careful please don't fall.
