I want to add the name of a guest blogger and delete my name as author. How do I do that?
Hello,
You should create an extra user in your Wordpress dashboard with the name of the Guest Blogger.
And then with Quick Edit, you can change your name in the guest bloggers name...
Grtz,
Bert
Thanks Bert,
Will this new user then have access to my entire site, or just this one specific blog, or what? Will I lose control?
PJ
No, when you don't tell the user what the password is he can actually do nothing. I thought it was just changing the name you wanted to do? If the user also has to be able to editie your site then you give him a'n editors rolex while you are creating the user (dropdown box).
But I thought it was only to give recognision to that user...
Grtz
That's great, Bert.
You've solved the problem for me.
Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous 2016.

Yoast SEO claims I have no alt tags for my images which is a red flag.
it also says I have no meta description specified, so search engines will display copy from the pa
When you google images, google is looking at your alt tags, and your picture will appear in google search, so you need to add precieze tags to your pictures
With the new Yoast, you need to go into Seo tools and edit a meta description, no longer than 156 spaces long, it used to be on the edit page. Yes it is important to write your own meta discription. Make sure it contains your page keyword in the description and a call to action at the end like: read more...
You can add an alt tag to your graphics when you upload them, just a short phrase and if you can include your keyword or a related phrase.
What are alt tags on images? and why should we have them?

I'm just starting out here at WA. It's my second month and I s[end a lot of time on the WA website. I'm wondering how long it takes nowadays, compared to the early days.
depends on the niche I would say
I would also ask your referral, see what they say
Have you seen the group picture from Vegas?
you will see your answer there
be prepared
That will depend on you. I find I can't spend much time on WA and make money. I am sure some people troll WA all day. As a company, very little incomes from WA directly. We are not a giant company and we are all IT Professionals so income is not an issue for us. It took me 6 months to go through the Certification program. We are working to change some things that will allow us to fit into the WA model.
If you are in the Affiliate program then I have no idea.
Well, it's a good question and the answer is going to differ for every single person that is here. It will depend on so many things, how well you have designed your site, the site's navigation, how often you are posting great information, how well you set up your SEO, what you are doing to monetize like the campaigns you choose to run...so many things.
No one answer for your question, other than this, keep working at your site, following the instructions in your lessons, dipping into the wealth of resources like with Jay's live classes and grow your business. In time you will have traffic and in time that traffic can be laser focused to respond to your calls to action. The only way you won't make money is if you quit!
Keep smiling!
Linda

There's a woman named Michele Salazar who claims on Facebook and twitter that she works at TopTrendReview.com but I have never heard of her!
I need to get her to stop us
The answer is very simple. Actually you're using her domain.
She was a previous owner. You'll see her FB posts are from 2012.
She let the domain name expire. You then bought it at some point after.
I understand you don't like it, I would contact FB
(On the other hand, positively seen :) how many followers does she have? This free advertising could bring in quite a lot of visitors:)
I know that on Instagram some people are 'verified' as that individual (celebrities), since IG is owned by FB, maybe they can help you with that - try contacting the administrator (you will have to prove that you are TopTrendReview though. and FB is almost as hard as Ft Knox sometimes.

I want to shift some older Posts to a Page.. How do I do this and bring all the comments along with the post? Is it with categories? How do I do that?
There is a plugin pTypeConverter, you will do the job in second. After that you just deactivate it. I used it many times, very reliable. It works both directions.
Why would you do that? If you created categories and assigned your posts accordingly, this acts like a menu for posts. Take a look at my site (the URL is on my profile page) so you see what I am talking about
John
You can add a post to your menu, thereby giving it the same function as a page.
In your "Appearance --> Menus" editor, choose your menu, and click "view all" in the "add" box on the left.
Instead of selecting "Pages" Select "Posts."
Choose your post and add it to the menu. Be sure to drag it to the right position in the right hand column.
Did that help?
Thank you so much, Jess!
That did it!
So now the older posts become sub menus of the Page. They're not listed one after the other like on the blog roll.
So what happens after 6 months of posts and pages? Do we get a huge list of sub pages under the Page Name on our Menu bar that covers our entire website?
OK, :)
So now I have the specific article on my blog roll and listed on my Page. Do I keep them both or delete one? What do you recommend?
I'd keep both. You can always hide the blog roll from your homepage by using the Theme Editor and setting the homepage to "static"
