Once a product is purchased through your website, how do you receive the commission essentially?
No worries. But you will need to read the terms that each affiliate program has. I wouldn't worry about that until you get some traffic first. No traffic is no sales anyway. All the best.
Hi and welcome to WA, The commissions will be paid out based on the affiliate program you join. You will want to read their Terms of Service. For example, WA pays via PayPal at the first of each month. However, you need to wait for up to 90 days once someone goes Premium which ensures the money clears. Many affiliates are like this. Hope this helps.
It depends on the affiliate program, they are all different. Most affiliate programs offer several types of payment including check payment, Paypal, bank wiring, along with others.
These will be within the payment details within the affiliate program you are promoting.
The Affiliate Program here at WA for example pays via Paypal on the 1st of every month.

I never filled out an account on Wordpress but everything is working so far so good. Was the account automatically created through wealthy affiliate?
So, I updated my Askimet and got a message telling me they can't connect to my computer due most likely to my firewall. OK I got that. So I go to get my Askimet API and need a wordpress account. I don't want to go any further until I know what is involved (I am a suspicious old git). Or I can put in it in manually. How do I know if I have one? Is anyone able to give me some advise. It would be much appreciated. As an aside it is awfully hard to type this with a cat asleep on your arms!
When you are logged into your website's Dashboard, you see the lime green tab header...right? Just a little further down you will see UPDATE. Do so there. Let us know if that helps.
Below are the two pages when I go to the plug in tab. When I get to the second page it tells me to log into Askimet. Since I already had the Askimet plug do I need to create an Askimet account. I have never had that message before regarding Firefox won't let it in.
I clciked on the blue tab to Activate. My first website was easy. The others...I had these screens as well. The Akismet Key is the same code for all websites.
You only need a wordpress account if you are making a WordPress.com website.
WA uses the WordPress.org setup, which does not require a WordPress Login.
You should also know that certain plugins (like JetPack, although this plugin is not recommended on WA) do require login details from WordPress.com
I am sure that there are more just can't think of them at the moment. Whilst I can well do without Jetpack I would never do with Askimet
Hi - no, you don't need an account with WordPress to host your WP sites here.
If you hosted on WordPress's own hosting site - then yes you would.
In terms of WordPress - what it is here is just the framework that underpins your website - so a bunch of website files and a database.

Training absolutely recommended before actually creating websites an attempting to become a wealthy affiliate.
I would agree with Maxiam, follow the getting started course and do the steps as they come up.
About how many training videos should i complete before actually starting the process of choosing a
