still didn't work. I deleted all the plug-ins and then re-installed them. Still no new buttons for wp edit.
That's strange. Are you able to drag the button to the active bar in the admin settings, save and then refresh the page? The buttons must be placed into the active bar, and saved there, in order to be visible in the editor area.

Or you might want to try the TinyMce Advanced Plugin. I use it and love it. Here's training:

I had the same issue. I deactivated it and then reactivated it and it worked for me
