Navy Day in India is Observer on 4th December Every year to celebrate the achievements and role of the Naval force to the country. It is celebrated using a particular theme of the year for making it more powerful and potent.

Navy Day in India was first celebrated on 21 Oct 1944 by Royal Indian Navy, which coincided with the Royal Navy's Trafalgar Day. The idea behind celebrating Navy Day was to boost outreach & increase awareness about the Navy amongst the general public.

The Indian Navy is the marine branch of the Indian Armed forces and is led by the President of India as Commander-in-Chief.

To celebrate this occasion, the Western Naval Command of the Indian Navy, headquartered in Mumbai, bring their Ships and Sailors for making the Celebration excellent. Wreath laying ceremony is held at the War Memorial followed by the operational demonstration to show the potential, the resourcefulness of the Naval Submarines, Ships, and various Aircraft are shown by flying over the beach.

We are proud of the exemplary contributions of the Indian Navy. Our Navy is widely respected for its professionalism and outstanding courage. Our navy personnel has always been at the forefront of mitigating crisis situations like natural disasters.
