I just published a product review, after adding some images, I found a shaded image on top of my post which I thought I deleted, but it is not in my edit post screen. I don't e

If you are classic editor, then you will be able to delete direct.as Susan has mentioned below.

If you are in Gutenberg, you will need to go into your post, then to the block where the image is. You will either need to
a) delete block, if it is an image only in the block (do not do this if there is text as it will delete the text)

or if there is text wrapped around because you have added the image to the side,

b) at the top left change the image block, to paragraph. This will remove the image.

hope this helps

I am in classic editor, I am wondering why I can see it in my post, but I cannot see it in my edit post screen, that's why I cannot delete it. I might have click on something.

Have you refreshed your actual post, or are you looking at a pre delete version

Yes, I did refreshed it, still the same.

I am just trying to think about the old way. Try republishing your post. Go to all posts, find your post, edit and on the right hand top was a blue button. Can't remember whether it said update or something like that. Try doing this again. That is all I can suggest. If it doesn't refresh and put the new page out there you will need to contact site support using the help centre button on the left hand side of this dashboard.

Thanks a lot RoseAnn for trying to help, I really appreciate your concern. I have solved my problem with the help of the SiteSupport team, thanks to them too.

God bless you,
Precilla

Precilla,

Sorry forgot to mention you have to do this in WordPress
bring the post up and "edit" it then make sure to do an
"update" for it to save as not being there and deleted.
I seem to forget certain steps when I think people should
automatically know what I am talking about.
Sorry,
Susan

Are you talking about going to WordPress back office to do this?

Precilla,

Hover over the image a small box should appear click
on the X and that should delete it :)

Susan

My problem is that I can see it in my actual post, but when I go to edit post screen, it is not there, the screen has not image, except my article. I am in old wordpress editor.

I tried to do just that, but nothing happens. That is what I normally do when I want to delete an image and change it with another one.

Precilla,

In this case, you did it right, I would send screenshots and
a ticket to Site Support sounds like a technical issue now :(

Susan

Yeah, maybe I should do that.
Thanks a lot for trying to help, I appreciate it.

I am trying to use the free domain site, it's not working.

If you were able to export a copy then you should be able to import.

You just go into your wordpress
click on Tools and choose Import.
I have done it this way many times without any problems.

In the video it says, to recover the files back, I have to use a free domain site and type in "test import", I can't find that WordPresss Express Website Builder screen. I am just trying to follow his step-by-step instructions. Should I skip that?

Did you or did you not export a copy of your site from Wordpress?

I think I have fixed it. Thanks a lot.

I did export it, because I checked my downloaded files.

A simple matter to import it.
Good you got it sorted.

Glad that you have settled the issue. Feel free to drop us your query whenever you have any.
