You soon find out what it takes and that you do need help.

Amen!

I thought I could make some money. Still just spending.

I just love the idea of being my own boss, get up in the morning, make a cup of tea & start work by switching on my PC - Heaven.

The education WA offered. As an interest & some extra cash was appealing

To steal back time, I love doing what I do now, but ageing cannot be stopped, so I cannot physically do now what I did 10 years ago, what about the next ten years, online marketing is my answer.

I joined because I want that freedom from lack. It seems like all my life I have struggled to get ahead. From working one job for years only to be let go of for standing up for what was righteous. Now am left with a few thousand of dollars and nowhere to go in finding another career. I have work my way to unsuccessful work relationship.
So I took a chance and I just jumped into this with both eyes open. I gave up my last and I took a chance. I sow $49 dollars into a chance. I only had small experience with Affiliated Manager where I previously jump in that as well. I didn't make any money, but I didn't give up. I kept on pushing myself for greatness and one soon I will be living the dream of debt free lifestyle.
This is why I join!

Kenneth

I am retired but did not want to retire so I turned to the internet to build a new business.

I tried online marketing because I am trying to find a way to help supplement my husband's income since I an physically no longer able to work outside my home.

I need to build some business online that is the best tool for leverage. But ranking and SEO are not easy to do as I thought.

I am here to try online marketing to learn and grow, and in time make money.

If you don't have leads and a sound way of getting subscribers. This something that should be address before it is to late.

Me to , i truly will come back and help you. I am almost there.

Exactly what I am struggling with right now; how to first get subscribers onto my site. I have no clue on how to build an ebook, thinking to offer a free hour of my time to analyze how a business owner is utilizing their computer systems.

Any thoughts on that?

Leon B.

That's a good idea... or offer tips on things you've learned here at WA.

Hi Leon,

Anything that can add value to a visitor's lifestyle is a great idea to get sign ups. One hour of your time sounds great, but what if you start getting a lot of sign ups, say about 4-5 people per day? It would become difficult to manage your time. Another alternative would be a video of you giving a one-hour talk on computer system utilisation. It's much easier to record a video and invite people to sign up to have the download link sent to their inbox. Just a thought. :-)

Indeed...it is a MUST for getting your word out there!

I'm on my phone responding but there is another way to get traffic if you have an active business. I'll right a blog about it once I get off my phone. Won't say easier but a lot more direct.

I can't seem to get it.
Well I tried but I just can't get it to you. Let me try and understand the setup process for this again. Now when I started doing this they started doing a whole lot more then your instruction say. Therefore I stopped it and went to the part where your instructions said to go. Was that my first mistake?

Not sure what you're talking about here.

For me thats for later, for me its getting the domain name right & learning how to build websites with this web editor :-
www.kompozer.net

With great difficulty.

that's what autoresponders are for but they can get expensive.

One way is to have something on your website where people leave their e-mail address... like an offer. If one of the owners of the site you are the Affiliate for has a 'free' e-book or anything free to offer, ask the owner of the site if you can use that link on your page. It can also be a 'draw' to win something if they leave their e-mail.
Example: "For a free e-book, leave your email address" and they leave it then click the button for the free item advertised. The owner supplies the item.

Hi pparadise! I couldn't agree with you more on this. I use Thrive lightbox and widget (connected to my MailChimp account).

The main difficulty with building a list is getting an appropriate lead magnet--something that would prompt visitors to join your list. In my case, I offered a free ebook on ovulation kits, but I still have to see results.

Do You have An Email List?

Working on it but very slow.

No I don't, it's all wealthy affiliate people.. Utherwise spam.

Not yet.

I have a very small one.

Not Yet.

I have a small list of 800. But having said that, I have a offline buyers list of 3,000+

Not yet...

When someone tries to sell you a paid for email list, what steps can one take for one to be certain those email leads are properly "qualified" for the demographic one is targeting?

Of course, I am not insinuating you are trying to do that here, this is just a general question.

No idea, you will have to ask the seller for proof.

Firstly, ask how they collated that email list? Secondly, do the people on that email list accept the sharing of their emails? As if you spam them and it is unwanted spam - you are just going to get nowhere. Hope that helps, Harjinder

Thanks for the helpful comment. Makes sense.

Yes that is very wise advice. Thanks! But I really don't believe no matter what one does, you can vet them out properly. For instance, you might be able to obtain proof of an income demographic, but how can one obtain proof they are truly in the market for the product or service you are targeting?

That last comment was @ littlemama

You would just need to get the subscribers yourself via an ad that is targeted to the location you want the subscribers from. That's the only sure way. Otherwise, you you buy lists or solo ads, you're doing it as a gamble because you can't really prove where an email came from.... I don't really know how you would do that.

Not yet. Need to do it.

Not yet but working on it!

Does It covers the hole platform and what is in the package?

not sure yet looking for something with more options

I have your answer are you ready.

So you're saying that there is something better than AWeber? If so, please send it..

not sure yet looking for something with more options

I like Mautic. Some friends also use it and are happy with the results.

Great.

I use Aweber.
If you are looking for a free one the check out MailerLite.com they are meant to good too from what I hear. Free upto 1000 subscribers

MailerLite is really crappy. I tested it for 2 weeks with some friends & about 20% of mails were undelivered.

I am using Aweber but always looking for one with more options.

MailChimp - $10 a month & my drip sales sequence is delivering with no issues at all.

You can get a free moth trial in both a weber and get response. Think most use a weber but get response is slightly cheaper for slightly more but really not much in it. Haven't set mine up yet

Sendlane

Aweber.
$19 per month and good value! :-)

Can you use youtube videos when making a training for wa?

Are they video made by you or video from other Youtubers?

Rule #2 says "no copied content" I use different videos on YouTube than the ones I have on WA.

Thank you Marion for shining light on this subject.
Jerome

Marion, maybe it can be done the other way around? I mean, publish training here at WA first, and then put the same video on YouTube. Not sure about that. ~Jude

Good question. What is the final answer?

I believe they can be used if you put a statement in your presentation explaining that is what they are used for!

Your videos that are for training should not be used for anything else due to back links and such. WA training is just for the community.

Do you mean publish videos that are on YouTube here?

No.

Below is Tommy's tutorial on how to create training videos. You can use the WA search bar to find other training by members and Kyle covers this in the official training as well.

Good to know!

I've seen people use Youtube to promote WA. There is a WA member called Simon. I think he's doing well from it. Kyle and Carlson would probably be the best people to communicate this question to. I think it's good to do reviews of products and comparisons. Tracey
