Hi,

I am going round in circles as I am trying to remove an Amazon Search item from my sites.

I have mental block on how I put it there in the first place which i

Hi, Peter. I am glad you solved your problem.
Marilyn

Thanks Marilyn, yes not very organised of is it.......

Glad u found it

Hi to all those who responded. Thank you and we can all stop looking now. I went back and found I had put it in the footer section of the Easy Adsense plugin. Mystery solved. Thank you again.

yeeeehaaa

Peter,
Interesting information, another subject that I know nothing about.
Sami

Hi P
You figure it yet?
Looks like an Amazon native ad
The code will be on your page but only viewable in the text editor
They don't show in visual
Or... I may be wrong entirely..but lioks like native ad to me
J

You're right, it is native. I thought it was in the footer but can't find it in editor

Try looking at your page settings in text editor where you would write your content.
Once published the native code reduces from about 20-30am lines of code to about 3 so they can be hard to spot.
I had one that stopped responding and it took me forever to find as I was looking for a huge area of code.

Yeah, I hear you

Ok mate had another look at your site. .

Check your "Easy Plugin for AdSense" as the code seems to be in there.

Let me know if you find it?

Cheers
Joel

Thanks Joel,I will look when I get home

No worries mate let us all know how it goes.

Its on every page so it should be in your widgets. Check there for the code.

Thanks, yeah I figured that, not find it so far.

I have a native ad but only on one page. I have not tried to get rid of it.
I take it that hi-lighting in your dashboard and deleting doesn't work.
I don't know why that wouldn't get rid of it.

Marty

I can't even find it

If it isn't showing up in your dashboard it seems like something for support.

Hi,

I know in the widgets we can put the affiliate links or adword links in the side column. What I wanted to know is how can you put those elements at the bottom of ea

Hi folks,

this is what worked out. I already have the adsense plugin installed, so instead of adsense code fr the bottom of the post, I have inserted my affiliate link. It seems to work. Happy days.
Thanks for checking in.

Cheers Peter

You already have rec'd some good instructions. Hope you find out all you need and more. Our friends on WA are always willing to help.
Marilyn

You can add it into your editor, I can help you with that if you want, what timezone are you in, it's here 00.32 so bedtime

Wel t' rusten Loes, It is 10:38 here. (AM)

When you want your disclosure in the editor you have to start up a test site first, there you can freely try it out, when anything goes wrong you can delete it and start whisling a new one:)

Thanks Loes

Some themes allow for a footer widget. In those themes you can use the footer widget to display something at the bottom of every page if you want.

Thanks Marcel, I'll check it out, but I don't think I have that.

Get the code from your programme such as amazon copy the html code and then click "text" on your WordPress at the top of you post and paste it in the bottom if that's were you want it

Thanks Varley, I actually want to paste it once, like you can for the side bar content. I have close on 70 pages. :-)

Hi All,

I have just been going through Bing Webmaster tools and see that it is telling me that I have erroneous H1 Tags on my pages. Well it is ini the header, so in on

Do you think they are talking about the window icons where there is at least 2 of each behind the "Modern Airlines"?
Marilyn

I wouldn't know the answer to that one. I have never had that problem.
Ed

I got the same report from Bing and was wondering if I should follow their advice. Did you figure it out? I changed a few tags and still get the same report. Makes you wonder about Bing.
Barry

I haven;t moved any further on it yet. Wondering if it is a Theme thing or not.

Hi,

I am launching a new website; http://corporate-traveller.net/

I am going through the Google and Bing webmaster optimisation and I am finding that the sitemap

I switched OFF "Dynamically Generate Sitemap, and that worked :) Thanks :)

Thanks for this I had the same issue and it fixed it

And here is the screenshot for this. The problem with turning this off is that you will need to manually click the Update SiteMap button when you update your content so that your SiteMap gets updated, instead of this automatically happening.

Definitely a bug in their platform.

Thanks for this info! Had no idea why my sitemap was not showin.

I was fighting similar problem, and when i switched off "Dynamically Generate Sitemap" option everything started to work.

I've also found that sometimes there is a problem with your file name.
all-in-ONE sometimes names "sitemap" as "sitemap_index.xml"
But i checked on your site and it isn't this problem. Possibly the option above.

Hope it helps!

I got the same problem, where can i find the "Dynamically Generate Sitemap? I am using All in one SEO?

Yes! I found it and it works.. Glad i read your comments. Thanks Pio.

You sir are a steely eyed missile man. It worked thanks for the help.

Are you using All in One SEO or SEO by Yoast or BOTH. Either plugin will create a sitemap for you but if you have both plugins then they will clash. You can check your sitemap at http://corporate-traveller.net/sitemap.xml ~Marion

I'm only using all in one SEO, the sitemap.xml is blank. It works on my other sites

Weird. May I suggest you deactivate All in One and install SEO by Yoast to see if that fixes it.

I'll give it a go, thanks

I use Google XML sitemap generator and it works well.

What do they mean by a Pull-Quote or a Lift Out Pull Quote?

If you read magazines, you may remember seeing those bold blocks of text spread throughout an article. They

I didn't know that's what those type of quotes were called. Thanks for the information.

Something to think over writing my next post, thanks

I have heard it all today! First it was pretty links or beautifull links? Jason gets the credit for that one! LOL There were others yoo but I can't remember it now!

Very interesting Peter
I often find that a pull quote will be of a salacious type that keeps the reader reading the piece in the hope they'll come across the relevant text within the article.
Mark

What HAVE you been reading?

Just normal daily newspapers over here Peter, it's just a tactic by the editors to get readers to read the whole page of text rather than just the headlines and skim some of the rest........
........I would NEVER read anything salacious myself ;-))

I knew that.

Perish the thought Peter!!

I have always seen this in different publications but had no idea what they were called or really what their purpose was. You helped me understand and it was clear. I see how they can pull the reader along through the document. Thanks for the training.

My pleasure, hope it is useful to you.

Smart! I see! I will need to try to tighten that up a bit in my writing. I tend to just make my beginning a few words in bold to draw attention.. Or use a quote in italics.. Thank you Peter, for the education! Tagging this for future reference!

Hey Pisquali ,I have a hard time reading a whole article but this kept my attention, and good info. that I hope I can put into practice.

Marty

Sorry couldn't put any pull quote in there. Formatting restrictions and all. ;-)

This is good info, and works great on your site. Thanks.

My pleasure
