I need to link my WA blog to my wix site, so that when someone clicks 'Blog' on my wix site, it re-directs them to my WA created site.

Yes, that is a good idea just bring your site over here and you will probably get more traffic that way too.

Why don't you just move your entire Wix site over to WA? Makes more sense as it will confuse users sending them between sites.

But anyway, all you need to do is copy the link to your site here at WA from the address bar in your browser... Then over at Wix you would just add a new item to your website's menu called "blog" and insert the link you copied.

Because WA isn't as easy to create the type of site I want to make. I want to sell my own services, and affiliate products, but also have a separate blog that generates the traffic into my sales funnel.

WA doesn't provide the same easy to use site building abilities that wix does.

Have you tried looking through the plugins? There are several 3rd party content editors available, such as the Thrive Themes plugin that can enable you to easily further customise your WordPress site :)

No I haven't actually looked through the plugins. I will give that a go, thanks Dale.

Your WA blog or your hosted domain?

If you want to link to your WA blog, use one of your affilste links for a recent post.

If you want to link to your WA-created site, just link that button to yourdomainname.com

Hi everyone!

I have a bit of a connundrum. So currently i work 50 hour weeks and sometimes more up to 70 hour weeks. Which makes it hard to get much work done here on WA

Looks like you've already got some great advice Antonio. I will add, that there's only so much time in a day. With a 70 hour week, you're really pushing it! There are a bunch of choices here. The main ones I see is:

1. Work less. I don't know what work you do but see if you can negotiate a better schedule that allows you more free time.

2. Don't have a life for a while. 70 hour weeks is not the limit! If you sleep 6 hours a night, that's an 18 hour day, so you have 126 hours per week to play with. That's an additional 50 hours per week you can put into your website.

Obviously that sucks to work that much. Plus eating, travel, breaks...it doesn't work out to be so easy that you can just find another 50 hours in your schedule. But for someone who's motivated, and has access to coffee, the time is there. Check out how Gary Vaynerchuk does it!

Well currently i'm thinking to either change to a job with a set amount of hours, so that I can have more of a steady routine in building my progress here & in my business.Anyway I have the weekends free, so I can smash it out then!

Great plan Antonio! There's always a way. Sometimes all your options might not be awesome, but there's always options.

My opinion Antonio.

Not sure if the 70 hours are for 5-days job or for the whole 7 days week?

Being in the 9-5 job, I can understand your situation. I have 5 days/week job so weekend is where I can give more focus to WA and my websites. Of course, that fall short from what I want to accomplish but in a situation we are in, we need to juggle all that required from us wisely. A written plan works for me. It's a matter how you prioritize things around you.

Have a plan. You can do it!.

:)
Joe

It's a 5 day job, so I have time on the weekend, but really i'd like to be able to make some daily progress rather than having to wait until the weekend. But thanks for the advice, I will take it on board.

I am in a similar situation , I can’t give you advice on how long does it take to make money as my website is still a baby but I can tell you how I organize my day.
At the moment I am working two jobs and I haven’t had a day off in two weeks, one is a office job, the other is extremely physically demanding. I write down my goals breaking them down so for example I have to write a post a day 6 days a week and finish one chapter off the training every week.
When I am tired and I feel like I just can’t do it, I take 20 minutes to myself and relax and then I get started, while I work I think about how if I stick to my goal soon I’ll be able to leave one of the two jobs and in a year I ll be able to leave the second one too.

I live in London and my family is in Italy, my grandma has been recently admitted into the hospital, every time I don’t feel like working I remind myself that if something similar will happen again I could have the financial freedom to drop everything and fly back on a four hour notice

I use my situation as a motivation and I keep in mind that nothing worth having will come easy

I hope my story helped you :)

Thank you, that gave me a few ides! I wish you the best in creating the life you desire.

Hi, I can completely understand how you feel and what you are going through. I too work full time, I work a normal 9to5 job and run my own IT Business on the side. I do everything from IT Computer / software support and also create Websites for companies. I am also paid a small monthly retainer to support a company remotely down in the south UK. Now the main issue for me is time - and there isn't enough of it. Apart from working full time, I have to find time for my Partner, and also my Son, and fit business time in too. This is almost impossible and recently the company I get a monthly retainer from wish to increase my services on a more part-time basis. I made the approach first, I told them I could no longer sustain helping them and work in my full time job, as I was taking calls whilst in my full time job, and this is not good, putting my job at risk. I do not want to work a 9to5 under someone else's rules for the next 20 years - what I am saying is that to get where you want to be in Business, you have to take a risk and make things happen. I will lose money per month initially, around £900 - which is alot, but I have to think of the benefits here, I get more time on my Business and WA. This is a win-win for me and a journey I am looking forward to.

Remember - for every successfull business you see, and that includes an online business, you know that someone has made a brave decision and just gone for it.

Best of luck to you,
Tim

Great Sharing Tim.
Thanks.

Thanks Tim, i thought i had it tough, but clearly not compared to yourself! That's definitely motivated me to press on

What are your weekends like, are those free? If you can find at least an hour a day (even 1/2 hr) you can make progress...No ideal, but maybe the best under the given circumstances...
