How I Changed My Theme Over and Over!
Been working on my Bootcamp website for quite a while now! At first I had some trouble getting the content right but that problem loosened up as soon as I did!
Then I started having problems with the images I added. Everything looked so fishy to me and I didn't believe that anyone would fall for that. However, when I realised that nobody should fall for anything and that I should just be natural and true, that problem vanished too.
Inexperienced as I am, I worked and worked and worked some more on my website and the occassional check on how my website looks, became a rare event!
After days of working on my content, I was finally satisfied. But! Then came the check and I realised that my posts were only shown as excerpts, my pages had three columns, my menu showed three times in three different places.
That was aweful! I felt frustrated and took a break for two days!
The I spent days trying to fiddle around and change how my site looked and to my despair, I couldn't get rid of most of the flaws. I tried everything, Questions here, google, some friends.... Nothing would bring the site to the state i wanted it.
Until a fellow Affiliate responded to a question of mine and I learned that I have to change my theme completely.
So, what I ultimately learned was to:
- check how your site looks after every update.
- read the theme description and look at its preview.
- (if possible) keep a test website on which you can test different themes, plugins, etc.
- don't give up, take a deep breath, ask for help, and be patient.
Hope you can learn from my experience and wish you happy affiliating!
Cheers!
