You Can't Do Everything at Once
You Can't Do Everything at Once
This will be the shortest blog I've ever posted on WA.
It's designed to help anyone who feels overwhelmed by what they're doing here.
First, acknowledge to yourself that you can't do everything at once.
Then realize...
But You Can Do Something at Once
Just pick one thing.
It doesn't even have to be the most important thing.
Just something that you can in fact finish in a reasonable time frame.
Ask the WA community for help if you need it.
Then rinse and repeat.
It works like magic.

This is so true! I don't believe multi-tasking ever has a good result. What you end up with is a bunch of projects started and not finished, or done in kind of a half-ass way.

Phil, I feel like you're talking to me!
I always have 3 or more things doing all at once
Similarly to Stephen, I always create some sort of a game where I partially complete each of them until they are all completed.
I find it challenging and excited as I bet on myself to see which one will be first completed
It sounds crazy but I can tell you that it is actually really fun :)
I totally agree, Simone! It actually does work for me. If I grow tired on one project, I simply shift to another. There is never any boredom here, and it helps eliminate "paralysis by analysis", because I can always revert to another project while my mind figures out what to do on the one that I am temporarily setting aside!
Keep succeeding!
Jeff
Oh my goodness!
I found a second me. This is the reason I'm never bored lol
Welcome to our club, Jeff 😀
Thank you, Simone! As you have said, we are never truly bored since we always have another project to concern oursleves with while we are "mulling over" an issue with one of our other projects. We never know when that "aHa" moment strikes concerning another problem, but we remain productive throughout! Plus it is always great when we manage to complete one of them while pondering in our minds the problem with another!

I think your subconscious keeps working on the stuff you're not thinking about. That's when you get the breakthroughs.

It may be the shortest blog you've written but it's definitely up there with one of your most excellent Phil. For newcomers like myself, it's easy to get overwhelmed with everything going on inside WA, within our website, and in our own personal life. So we need to be reminded of this from time to time. This short blog could have the biggest impact on someone's business. I'm glad you posted this, it couldn't have come at a better time.
Thanks, Rob
I really appreciate that feedback, Rob.
