Yeah that keyword doesn't get searches. You have to understand that phrases like that, while sounding good do not get typed. But it also has no competition either which is why you reached the first page rank.
The key is to always chase the keywords with traffic, but at the same time, do not let this get you down, with every post you make, regardless if it reaches the first page or not is adding to your authority and further pulling up your site and future posts.
This is helping a lot into the issue at hand.
Thanks for this confidence-building phraseology, VitaliyG. You showed up and am happy for that.
People have to be searching for your ranking phrase. Even though you may be ranking pos 1 etc. the long-tail keyword must be one that is specific to the user's request/search... if not they will go to the next position down the list.
How much traffic is going to your "Affiliate Marketing as the Field of Dreams?"
Not only must be our keywords be unique, they must also have a record of traffic going there.
What about the SEO description of the article itself. Is that catchy and drawing in the visitor. Having looked at it, it's good but it could be a bit more appealing and less generic, but that's just my opinion Phak.
This is a perfect example of possibly trying hard to write for search engines and miss the ultimate intent of writing for real people. There has to be a balance.

Wola David, that's a surprising help found on my threshold which needs to be just up and apply straight away.
Thank you for your clear explanation.
Wishing you a thumping success in this newly born baby 2018.
You are welcome Phak.
Happy and Prosperous New Year filled with bountiful rewards and success.

Just google ranking is not enough. There are many other factors which in combination increase the conversion.
Yes but from where
1.are they buyers
2. are they information seeker
3.what audience you are targeting
Now if they are from your targeted audience then you have chosen the wrong audience.
If they are not from your audience then you are not targeting them effectively
Thanks a lot for the explanation and the 'other factors' in your reply bothers me!?
If I could get hold of that will be awesome.
As I told you I agree with you, but the question is still about traffic, should we confuse him some more?
It needs no explanation irrelevant traffic even in thousands would have no effect upon conversion. you have to target effectively from the start.
these are already in my comments. effective targeting relevant traffic source of traffic etc.
I appreciate! but I am also helping in suggesting that to try to get the possible relevant traffic. That is just a direction. Get as much relevant traffic as you can.
Thanks Belden for sparing your time with me. That's in page1 as I indicated with a red arrow but of course, the position is 5.
What can I do to better the shift?
Thanks Belden, this way we grow carrying our discussion further for good.
Our discussion will not only help and make understand the both of us alone but to all the new members here in our community. Now I understand the issue.
Appreciated for the time spared.
Happy New Year to you and your family.

I think you have already had the answers below. Do not be downhearted as All is not lost. No one may be seRching that exact phrase but if you put the post out on Social Media then people will read it.
Everything we do is trial and error and that is just a new lesson learned.
