I’m using the Business Point theme, can anybody explain me how I can reduce the space in the primary header. I want to reduce the space between my introduction article an
Go to Appearance->Customize->Additional CSS
Copy and paste the following into that section:
#content.site-content {
padding: 0px;
}
That should move the whole content section beneath the menu up.
Thank you for your advice, the content section has moved up to the Menu! I just want it to have it a bit more closer, so that my logo appears right in the middle, see https://evemeetsboy.com Is there anaything else I can do? Thanks, Peter
Try:
#masthead.site-header {
padding-bottom: 0px;
}
#content.site-content {
padding-top: 0px;
}
Resize your logo, scale it down as it's being resized in CSS. Convert your main image to a JPG rather than PNG file. Those files are way too big and will impact your site load time.
Best,
Adam

Hello, is it necessary that the URL of a website contains the keyword? Thanks!
I wouldn't worry about keyword rich domains or EMDs (Exact Match Domains). It's content that ranks these days, not domain names.
I'd rather have a brand such as http://www.boohoo.com than something as limiting as http://www.buycheapdesignerwomensclothesonline.com
Your domain name doesn't even have to be relevant, if it did http://www.amazon.com would sell river trips and http://www.apple.com would sell fruit! It can even be personal, http://www.craigslist.com :)
From my understanding, it is not necessary to do so, because Google is more focused on content and title that contain a keyword or so that represents the subject.
Not necessary. It is helpful, but I would not do an exact match. More like a partial match domain.
But as others have stated it is not as necessary as it used to be.
Webmasters used to take advantage that Google was giving when people created websites using the exact keyword they were looking for.
Google has since wised up and taken more into consideration to rank a site rather than just what the domain name suggests.
however, there is still a little SEO power in doing a partial match. Just make sure it's catchy, easy to type, and memorable.
It isn't anymore important actually. But it might still be good for your niche to describe your niche. Easier for people to understand.
But not a requirement, so you can also still change your niche afterwards, even though you got a domain name that is different.

Can anyone tell me of there are really people who earn $3000 or more a month with one of more affiliate programs? Thanks Peter
There are people that earn more than $3,000 per day with affiliate programs. It is no different than any business, other than the fact that you have an audience pool of over 3.75 BILLION people online.
This is an opportunity that has never been experienced to this date, one that was a fraction of this when I started out and I felt there was unlimited potential online.
Whatever you set yourself out to achieve, it what is possible in this space. That I can tell you. Whether it is $300 per month, $3,000 per month, $30,000 per month, $300,000 per month...etc.
Peter -
Although I am not there personally, yet, I do believe that there are many who are earning that level of income (and more).
If you look at the information about winning the Vegas trip, there are 16 people who went last year (including Kyle and Carson). Since they had to get 300 members in the WA affiliate program, that means they are all earning $7050 from those referrals. (and if they are working on it this year, probably more than that.) So, it is possible to earn $3000+ through the WA affiliate program, alone.
As far as earning through doing affiliate marketing through websites, I have to believe that it is possible, and that is why the business model is alive and well.
One of these days, I hope to say from personal experience that it is possible, and hope that you will find it out personally, as well!
I believe WA is the right place to be to make this happen.
Lydia
Hi Peter. That depends on so many factors, like which niche you are into, the number of hours you are willing to put into it, the state of your website, the traffic, ranking, SEO, content...and good old fashioned luck
