India / China
The border area between the two countries China and India, in the Himalaya Mountains, is a cause of various tensions. Now India forbids selling Chinese apps and even the online store AliExpress is blocked. It concerns 43 apps from Chinese developers. According to India, these would be dangerous for national security. In June, 40 people were killed at the border in clashes with soldiers.
OANN / YouTube
In America, the news channel One America News Network (OANN) is no longer allowed to post videos on YouTube for a week. The transmitter is Pro-Trump and ultra-conservative. OANN had announced that there are already medicines that guarantee a complete cure for the COVID19 virus and that is not allowed according to the new policy of YouTube.
FCC / ZTE
The Chinese company ZTE is still seen as a national threat by the US Federal Communication Commission (FCC). Bloomberg reported this last night. A request for reconsideration was denied. According to the regulator, telecommunications equipment from ZTE could be used for espionage for the Chinese government. The American providers are therefore no longer allowed to use the telecom equipment of the Chinese companies ZTE and Huawei (which has also been banned).
South Korea / Facebook
Facebook is fined 5 million euros from South Korea. This is because South Koreans could log in to another site via Facebook and thus shared the information of their friends without their permission. The data protection authority Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC) says data of 3.3 million South Koreans has been unlawfully sent to companies. The users knew nothing about it.
