Marketing - Ye old fashioned way
Hey folks, I thought I would go ahead and purchase some business cards from Vistaprint. I'm feeling cautious and somewhat anxious about handing them out to people. Why? Because lets just I'm not the most confident when really connecting with others face to face, if you see what I mean.
However, I really do believe that; although an old fashioned form of networking/marketing there is nothing like being able to give to someone that is taking an interest in your business a business card to round up the conversation.
What do you think about business cards, also how do you promote WA or indeed your own ventures offline/in person?

Business cards are an excellent way to promote you
and your business offline. I still use them everyday.
When promoting offline I direct the people who show
interest directly to my website, according to what they
are interested in.Then I follow up with them within 24
hours to answer any questions they may have..
I say "Go for It" - it's actually a good idea, and Vistaprint cards are a lot of times free; minus the shipping!

You could create an email signature on your regular email account. That way you would advertise every time you send an email.
Or you could create an email account at your domain just to use for regular purchases etc.
If you sent an email with a query to your energy company and your email address was peter@travelbargins.com.
Do you not think that someone might be curious enough to have a look at your site. No guarantee but it doesn't cost anything so what do you have to lose.
If you have business cards. If you send a letter, pay a bill include a business card. If you leave a tip at a restaurant leave a business card.
You get the idea.
It really depends on your niche and who or where your target customer is.
