I have not yet logged into WP. I am on the preliminary page just after the first login to where you can customize a few things. I am not sure what some of the terms refer to.

I had no idea what I was doing when I started but if you follow the training step by step, lights will come on for you. The first 10 lessons are pretty straight forward. The toughest part is around Course 2 lessons 4 through 7. Don't give up. It is clear sailing pretty much past that. It certainly separates the the boys from the men for lack of a better on the spot analogy.

You will want to set up your site personally. This way, anytime something fails, you will know either how to fix it or at least know exactly how to ask help.

As you progress, ask specific questions in the area at the top. If your question has been asked before, there are answers already in the drop down that will occur so just click on them. You'll be surprised how many questions you'll find answers to that way. If you can't find what you need, add detail to your question and put it in the forum. That area you will find about half way down the page Not only will you improve your ranking, but others will be grateful to see what answers are given as no doubt others will be about to ask the same question. Ask as many specific questions as you need to as you go. People who answer also get credit for helping out and many of us help just because we like to pay it forward for all of he help we got in the beginning.

No one will help you build your site step by step (maybe if you pay them...lol...) but seriously it is best to do it yourself no matter how hard it may seem. If someone built it then disappeared and you had a problem, which you inevitably shall, you will have no idea how to ask for specific help and even may have to start over, anyway. That's extreme of course but probable.

There are places on the internet where you can pay people to build your site, however, this is a kind of do yourself program and the rewards are boundless. Give it your best shot. You absolutely can do it yourself and we all want to help you out, Persia. I really am getting curious about 2012. Is it about the year?

Ask tons of specific questions in every lesson and in no time you will have a site that is yours, has your signature and your brand. No one will be able to create your own personal uniqueness and you want that in your site(s). You see where I'm going with this? In no time you will be able to help others coming up behind you. It really feels great to give as well as receive help.

I hope I have helped you out somewhat. I have been here just 7 weeks myself but feel like I attained more than I could have in a year somewhere else. You are going to love it and make great ties quickly. I'll be watching!

Hey,

My personal advice would be to just go through the training step by step: Watch the videos several times if necessary but don't rush things.
Don't get to flustered either. Wordpress is a lot easier than you think.
Here's an additional training if needed: I hope this helps!

Esteban

Thank you, Esteban!

Persia

You're welcome :)
