I will look at the link and when I get my other website transferred I'll let you know how I did it

I talked to support and they said the only way is to basically copy and paste which is just more work but work never hertz anybody right I will talk to volusion and see if they know of anyway if different I'll let you know.

have a look at this....scroll down to OPTION 3 How to transfer WordPress files from one domain to another domain i dont see why you cannot back up your old site that is at volusion and then restore it to the site you have at WA....

I dont understand why you cannot move the site from volusion to WA......am i missing something........people move sites all the time from loads of different places.....

did they give a reason why you cannot move it to WA?

I know that's what I was thinking and they only said it had to be a WordPress site to be able to move it over. I did change the name servers but that did nothing I'll look at that link you gave me and see if there is anything that will help hopefully there is.

Hope it helps you hun, can you still access your volusion site? maybe it might be better to keep it hosted else where. Do you have to move it? :-))

Yeah it's cost $40 a month and they are not doing stuff that we have asked them so figured it is time to go

I have been looking into it a little more since my other website is an ecommerce site there no way to move it over if I did move it i would have to just redue everything. To move the hole website without lossing anything I can't move it to WA I am going to move it to shopify. Thanks for the help have a great day.

They are an Ecommerce store for selling products and taking payments though them or somebody else if you like. They have 3 plans Basic Shopify is $29.00 a month, Shopify $79.00 a month and the last Advanced Shopify is $299 a month. From what I would need the $29 is a great fit for my store. They offer a bunch to much to put here and the best for me is number of products and file storage are unlimited hope that helps.

You can put your Facebook page link on your profile below the Websites by penguinsfan on the bottom right. That’s the only place I could think of where you’re allowed to share your links.

Yes, that's correct. Just put the link to your FB page. I’ve seen many members (including Kyle) put their social media account links there as well.

I would think you can use your own intellectual property on your blog here. However, you can not use your blog to promote your own business. For example, I have an organizing business. I can post some things about how I am running my business related to my WA work but I can't post a blog with affiliate links to Amazon on my WA blog.

I am presuming that when you say we can't promote other services and products to the WA community it means putting ads or sending ads in our communications within WA. But you can put your other activities on your web sites that are hosted here at WA. Am I correct on that? Thanks Joe

Yes you can point people from your website to the WA - that can be to your training, your blog posts and such - and to anything else within the WA, so other peoples training and posts and such.

No ads or anything like that but just adding the website to my profile

Thank you for the reply all the videos I know how to do that stuff. Take the WA banners i should be able to take the HTML code add it into the page or sidbar and it should show the banner but for some reason it is not and i can't figure out why.
