I think I am struggling with organic traffic. My website is already ranked and I have several keywords that on page 1 of Google. But I still don't have enough traffic. I'm thinking about paid traffic now.

How do I start? Where to go? What to do? I am really clueless at this.

If you're not capturing emails and list-building, get that set up first. Otherwise your dollars will be largely wasted. And not just a squeeze page, but a compelling lead magnet. "Join my list" doesn't work anymore.

If you're getting zero conversions or low conversions, then conversions is the primary problem to attack, not traffic. You can and should still buy traffic. The key is to start small, test and tweak. This will help you solve your conversion problem more quickly.

My personal favorites, and IMO the best for quality traffic is Facebook and good solo ads. PPC too. YouTube is coming on strong.

There's lots of good training out there. Charlie Page is great on solo ads and also has training on funnels and conversion, and on Facebook traffic. Ryan Diess is good on email series and sales funnels, and has good training on paid traffic, particularly Facebook. Perry Marshall is the recognized PPC expert.

Once you've figured out paid traffic, you'll love it. You can have high quality, very targeted traffic to your landing page tomorrow. You can test and tweak (in other words, optimize) for conversions in a matter of days, then ramp up. Your ROI should be at least 2:1, after a little testing and tweaking. This testing phase can be very inexpensive, even paid for by the traffic, with the right funnel set up. Don't expect to be perfect from the beginning, though.

Like anything else, be prepared. Learn the ropes, so you don't lose a bunch of money...it doesn't have to be that way at all. And be ready to capture the traffic...email marketing converts 40x better than the 2nd best tactic. And it's a basically free channel that isn't controlled by Google. Very cool. See the power? The power is in the list, not the website.

BTW, this a the path to financial and time freedom - buy traffic and send it to your funnel.

I hope this helps.

Wow. Thank you, Gordon.

Now I know that I have to get to the basic of building a list. From there, I can build my business.

Thanks, Krill.

Financial freedom comes from building your own following (tribe), and creating customers for life, not by hoping for one-off sales from unnamed site visitors. I assure you that the company that you earn an affiliate commission from is capturing emails and marketing to that person for life, so why not you? So, if financial freedom is your goal, you work hard to build your tribe, then lead as many of them as possible to become first a customer, then a life time customer. Financial freedom is the result of adding value to lifetime customers, and getting paid for it.

Then there's time freedom. Time freedom comes from passive income. You "make" money by giving up a piece of your time. Therefore, if time freedom is your goal, you should plan for it in the beginning. It won't happen automatically. The default state is active income, not passive.

I'm starting a membership site in the niche I retired from 3 years ago (retirement is overrated!-smile). I will create some of the content myself and JV with others to create some of it (leverage-both of the work and their lists). I will create lead magnets (to list build) and a sales funnel (to increase customer value). But here's the key to time freedom: My goal from DAY ONE is to automate the whole process, thus creating passive income. I'll work hard for up to a year, testing, tweaking, adding, creating. After that, I'll buy traffic and send it to an automated funnel with automated upsells, downsells, product delivery, payment processing, etc. From then on, my income is passive, or semi-passive, at worst.

And that's a saleable business, since it's life and health no longer depends on me.

That's Entrepreneurial thinking. We tend to think like workers, not entrepreneurs. By doing that, we often unwittingly get in the way of our own goals.

It's a learning curve and a mindset shift, but it's well worth it.

Good luck

I believe that before paying for traffic you need to be sure that your conversion rate is high enough to pay for it. Otherwise, you'll just let someone to make a couple of bucks on you.

Will check on that, Billy!

I would start with Pay Per Click. There is training on it here, and other places, and Bing is giving $100 free PPC advertising, which is a good way to start/test the traffic. You can also find cheap clicks on keywords that are related to your main keywords. I intend to use this method soon.

Thank you.

It is quite involved my friend. I suggest you take the PPC training here at WA. It will explain it better than I can. You can also go to youtube.com and type in ppc training. Good luck, Tom

I'm not a big fan of paid traffic, Arief. My main reason is that I want visitors interested in what I am saying/doing to regularly visit my site and possibly refer others. The issue with 'paid' traffic, is they are there for the pay, and may not give a hoot what you're talking about...so that traffic actually did nothing for you, but up your visitor numbers. I tried to pay for likes and shares of my social pages and that was a disaster! Most of them disappeared because the system realized it was an 'exchange' site and they don't like those.

Audra,

I think you're misinterpreting what Arief means by "paid traffic". If you buying Likes and shares, that's "black hat", "gray hat" at best, and usually doesn't work anyway. What Arief is referring to is paid advertising - PPC, Facebook ads, retargeting, etc. - which is an excellent strategy.

I hope that clarifies.

Good discussion my friends! There is a book/audio book out on Internet Sales Funnels. Like Marion said Google it and you will likely find more than just one book.

It's a simple math question. What percentage of visitors convert to sales and how much do you net from those sales? If you don't have enough data to answer those questions, you are not ready for paid traffic.

You are right, Steve. I need to build my email list.

Arief from what I have read and heard paid traffic is traffic it makes the street look busy but no one is stopping to buy

I was about to ask the same question! But I wonder what paid traffic is good for if it is only a blog with affiliate links. So, I think I agree with Marion-need a sales funnel. And that means a lot of things to do before you even get to the advertising bit.

Yes. I need to build my sales funnel. Maybe starts with collecting email list.

Yep I agree. I have just started doing that by offering something free. I feel exactly like you! Really just want to get things rolling!

Where are you in bootcamp? There is a section that starts on the potential of bing ads etc.. Plus there are facebook ads that are cheap to try out. I'm thinking of doing the odd experiment in the near future.

Ad Wourds, group one word keywords that are exact sysnyonymns to your categories, and use your meta header tags, proper HTM, group them correcty, and pay slighly more than the recommended amount. However, I wouldn't do this until your site is set up based on this methodolody anyways, Kyle can explain this in a much easier way, but if you just fallow every step, it will work, few people are willing to do that, they want money now, but to make money fast means making maoney hard and it isnt easy. I would simply fallow the bootcamp, it is the most simplifed version to real wealth I have seen probably ever, because, what people don't understand, is at the time this site was created, my corporation was hired under a diifferent famous company so I no the story, these claim they are this good because they are, it isnt a game for them, for me in the beginning it was life or death, but this method works, and is ordered correctly if your are new to this, but if you are a veteteran, then you may want to put some serious thought into exploring what they teafch here. Because the answer to your question is right on that black button, I know it works, because I have done it with several companies, these guys are veterans, not amateurs, otherwise I would not join. My old DBA had a reputation, and it takes skill to see skill, and especially if you know the origins, fallow Kyle and Carson, and I promise you will not fail, I am working on a seperate project but as soon as I have time, I am here, because it is the best software, if done correctly, possinly ever, yet people are suspicious of them because they only heard of them, I can tell you the people who put this together do not work for free, but there method works for free, it is up to you how badly you want it, how important is it to you, would you bleed for it, then you may be ready, and you have a family so I'd say you are. Talk to Kyle, strategize, the intervals have been calculated for decades, this isn't amateur shit. I promise you that!

I am doing my best to understand the BootCamp. I am building a website specifically for it. But my niche website is what I want to focus more on this paid traffic.

I will talk to Kyle later then.

The only. Problem with. Paid traffic is they only give you a set time to use it and if you are not getting traffic it is best to wait! I get around 2,500 per month but am still not making any money from it as I haven't really worked out what would make people buy from my site.
Reply
AriefWibowo Premium
That is exactly my case. I am a bit confuse on how to go forward from where I am now.

Paid traffic is usually just that - traffic. Not readers, not buyers just extra numbers. Waste of money.

Don't start Pay Per Click advertising until you have a sales funnel that you know is working.

I Have tried it twice and all you get are "bots" and one was with the. Ingest network our there but when you study the results you soon see what the traffic really is - the length I'd page duration when they all appear and wher it is from is a dead give away so please my friend do not waste money unless you have s spare 50 to waste just to see your site look great for a week !!!

I was thinking about what Jay said in the last training. Something like Retargeting or Remarketing.

It will be a waste of money if only bots will visit my sites.
