Hello:
I have just added Google Adsense. I don't have a lot of time to spend working on my website, and I need a little help. I think I have a beautiful website, and want to only display Adsense ads on the sidebar. Right now, I have an ugly banner ad at the top of my page. I am not sure how to remove it. My sidebar ad is awesome, thanks to the help that I have gotten in WA through posts, and the setup was quick and easy. My dilemma is this: How do I make the banner ad at the top go away, now?! I am sure that I could fine-tune Adsense and make it go away, but I am looking for an instant answer, here. Can someone direct me please? Thank you in advance.

Julie

You can remove the original code and use a text widget for your sidebar ads.

Thanks. I knew I could remove it, but I was worried about it affecting my AdSense account. It doesn't seem to have done so, and I still have the sidebar widgets, etc.

I'd recommend using a plugin, either Ad Inserter https://wordpress.org/plugins/ad-inserter/ or WP Quads https://wordpress.org/plugins/quick-adsense-reloaded/

You might also want to consider Adsense Invalid Click Protector to stop click bombs. https://wordpress.org/plugins/ad-invalid-click-protector/

Do you know if I can just go in and delete the original AdSense info from the themes? I didn't know if that would remove my AdSense account completely. Like I said, just started with it, today, so I'm an AdSense newbie. But, I could manage that, just didn't know if I should.

Yes, and then add it into one of the plugins and manage the ads from there.
