Wha'd you do today to GROW?
Hello Again to all my friends! I'm glad you came to play! Our fun in growing never ends, make sure you choose to grow today

So whad' I do today to intentionally cause myself to grow? Well first thing I recall engaging in is...and before I share, let me say I'm writing this because I'm inspired by writing my ABOUT ME page for affiliate boot camp, which prompted me to express my thoughts here, because I've been told "If we're not growing, we're dying" and connecting with other humans is important to me, because I can not do this (or Life) alone, I need you. We. Or if your French Oui!
So I write 3 pages, single spaced, free hand every morning.They're called Morning Pages. Today, guided by my unconscious, or you may know yours as intuition and others may relate with the Holy Spirit, or higher-self and if I missed your labeling, it's not personal and be sure to respond with your title or label that you use for the still small voice, or inner guidance within you, in the comments section below. I'm definitely excited to hear how you relate to this part of yourself. OK? Cool! So I've been practicing Morning Pages for a few years, and more so consistently over this last year, as I was, for my father's day gift taken to spend 8 hours with the actual creator of this amazing creative practice in person, in New York City.
So today while writing, I switched hands. Regularly I write with my right hand. Today I did as I regularly do, but I was without forethought, or hesitation switched the pen from right to left and began writing with my left hand. I rarely do anything with my left hand, at least not buy it self. I mean lefty will join in when righty requires assistance, but rarely will she take the lead. Today, was her time to shine. Was it elegant! Heck no! But who defines elegance? Just for today, I'm the judge, jury and executioner! So I set the standards! But anyways, my morning pages are not at all about elegance. So there is no room for judgement. Acceptance only. This is a time for surrender and acceptance. As creatives, I, no, we need that. Especially if you haven't been practicing expressing your artistic voice for a substantial amount of time, and even still the dynamic duo of acceptance and surrender are still highly necessary. I may have digressed, or maybe not. I'm carrying on a phone conversation at this point and typing. So my reason for wanting to capture my thoughts at this point was to offer some inspiration, thinking that someone, somewhere at some point of their journey would be in need of some inspiration, or whatever there is to distill out of this posting to help them get to the next check point, or how ever far what they take out of this gets them.
While writing with my left hand I recall thinking, "man I have an entire arm that I rarely even use!" did it feel uncomfortable? Yes absolutely! Did I think about quitting? Yes sure. Was it cause I was judging the appearance? Yes again. You know what though, to judge the appearance of my writing with my left and quit wouldn't have been fair because I was judging it based on my right hands writings. Can I compare a Stephan Curry against my 8 year old daughter's jump shot. NO. Absolutely not. Nor can I do that to my left hands writings. So it just is what it is. It's data and that's all. I'm more proud and inspired that I did it, and did it spontaneously. So because of this blogging here, I'm actually revisiting this experience and it's causing me to feel happy about what I did and I'm looking forward to writing more now with my left hand. When I do it will be a sure win.
1. Cause my left hands muscles are being strengthened
2. New neurons are being fired off and what ever new connections are being made up there in the command center (brain)
3. I'm causing the uncomfortable to become comfortable, and in that I'm GROWING.
and as it is said, IF WE'RE not GROWING WE'RE DYING.
So there's something to be said about beginning this new adventure here on WA.
1. Use this community. People here genuinely will and want to help. Help who...YOU!
2. No need to compare yourself to ANYONE else, you can use what they're doing or creating as inspiration to help you elevate your game, but compare yourself to your yesterday's progress. YOU ONLY HAVE TO BE YOU! I and WE need YOU, and just so you REMEMBER. There is only ONE you.
3.You came here for a REASON and a PURPOSE. Feelings come and go. Utilize all your past experiences to be as successful as you want to be HERE! Feelings do not arise to tell you to scatter. No they come to deliver you a message to help you GROW. Surrender to the GREATNESS within you. Accept the fact that you have a voice, and your the ONLY one of EARTH that can do what you can do. Be WILLING to GROW, and that will involve becoming comfortable in the uncomfortable. Keep your vision in front of you as like a magnet it will pull you forward when anything inside or outside may say to do the opposite.
I want you to win. You want you to WIN. So if you don't whose decision is that!

Thank you for this inspirational post. I'm with you on the higher self one and love the discipline and trust you have applied to your creative process. Interesting experiment with your left hand - it's always good to push the boundaries and try something different - but I have a feeling you know that already. I have a niche that is based around the law of attraction, NLP and spirituality so I think we will have a lot in common.
