My Site's 10 Most Popular Niches In 2021

Hey there WA'ers, hope you are all safe and well in these trying times. Recently, I have been doing some work on my website for my mailing list which has required me to take a deeper look into my stats over the past year.

You see I wanted to send them all an email outlining what my 10 most popular posts were on my site for this year and how they could use that information if they were trying to work out how they could get started with their own online business.

And even though I do watch my stats on a regular basis (and probably more than I really should), I was still fascinated by the results.

How have I chosen this list?

For the email to my list, I simply listed the 10 top viewed posts on my site. However for this list I have gone down a little deeper and compiled the niches based on interest until I got 10 clear options written out. Theses have come from a mixture of:

Affiliate program lists
MLM reviews and lists
Software reviews
'How to' and information posts

So, let's check out where we stand:

1. Weightloss

This one was the big winner by a fair way. Both in terms of affiliate program lists and MLM reviews - the keywords 'Weightloss' were also by far the most popular for my site. Big winners in this niche would be around:

How to lose weight
Weight loss product reviews
Weight loss MLM
Diet

2. Beauty/Cosmetics

This one probably comes as no surprise as cosmetics are an extremely popular and sought after item and nice and small making online sales simple. They are a mainstay of MLM companies the world over as well as making inroads into other popular areas such as eco-friendly and Vegan options.

Most of my research into these areas has found as mentioned that MLMs are a popular search option as well as those looking to sell cosmetics online. YouTube is popular here also as they are obviously a perfect option to demonstrate visually.

3. Adult Products

Now this one did surprise me however my list of 10 best Adult Products is the third highest viewed post on my site and fifth most watched video on my YouTube channel. Additionally, this area results in more questions, comments and WA referrals than anything else on my site.

My lingerie list also works well here and most questions centre on how these products can be sold on platforms such as Amazon without getting banned. People in this area also seem hesitant to set up an affiliate marketing website in favor of pure marketplace sales so if you are interested in this area then a website could smash it!

4. Fashion

This next one probably gets a boost based on the sheer amount of options there are within the fashion industry. That said, four of my top 20 posts are around fashion including:

Kids fashion
Maternity wear
Active wear
MLM

This niche is also a good one for those chasing high ticket commission via the promotion of designer clothing, handbags and watches etc, as well.

5. Perfume

I nearly just lumped this in with cosmetics however my video on "How to sell perfume online" is by far my most popular on YouTube and as with the Adult products, generates a good deal of interaction from my audience. The posts aren't as popular but still high enough to warrant its own mention.

There is great interest in this niche in Asia (India, Singapore and Malaysia mostly) so this could be an area to target if you like this niche.

6. Crystals

To be honest, just re-read what I wrote about for Perfume and incorporate Crystals as well. The difference here is that whilst the YouTube video does get some good interest, my affiliate lists and "Howe to sell Crystals online" posts are very popular and continuously rank high in my stats.

This one is good for those in the self-help or natural remedies niches and as they do attract some skepticism, there is great opportunity to open debate here as well.

7. Home

As with fashion above, this one has made the list purely based on the number of variations there are here. This includes:

Kitchen
Insurance
Furniture
Cleaning products

The advantage here is that regardless of current world events, many of us are constantly looking for things for the home (well my wife is anyway) and there is a great mixture here of 'must haves' and 'nice to haves'.

Some honorable mentions here also include garden, home security/smart home and home entertainment too.

8. Motorcycles

This is another one that I was surprised about however this subject always ranks very high on my site. I very nearly labeled this one 'vehicles' and added boats and car parts to it however motorcycles on its own is so popular that doing so would not have served it justice.

I will add here however that most of the interest is in regards to the gear and apparel rather than the bikes themselves meaning it is a good niche for all round sales. This makes it a good one as if your readers are anything like my friends with bikes, then they will spend money here as well.

9. Eco Friendly

I mentioned this earlier in regards to cosmetics and it also often comes up in terms of home cleaning products as well however this is another area that always garners interest on my site. In this day and age where we are becoming more and more aware of the overuse of chemicals, anything in this area is going to be popular.

If this does interest you, then you have a wide range of options as well such as:

Clothing
Cleaning
Diet
Veganism
Sustainable packaging

It is also a growing area within the MLM market as well where many of these companies are promoting sustainable processes at every step of the retail chain from sourcing, manufacture, packaging and sales.

10. Personal Development

This is another area that has boomed recently - mainly thanks to the likes of Tony Robbins et al. - and certainly an area of interest on my site. The main attraction here is not only the fact that many are now starting to look at self-improvement as a means of getting ahead, but also that for marketers, there are some good high ticket options here too.

However, there are a lot of dodgy characters in this industry so if it is one that does interest you, then I recommend you tread carefully.
