Being here is deja vu all over again with hopefully better results

Back in the late ninties I got the internet bug and thought I could make my first million dollars by selling online. I joined a bunch of affiliates such as linkshare and Commission Junction, among others and bought a copy of Frontpage and went to work with my wife building websites and putting up affiliate links. Mind you, no training or coaching just a stubborn idea that if I put up a number of websites the world would come, click on my links and bring me a flood of money. Realizing that I wasn't getting much traffic, I tried pay for clicks, so called marketing gurus and self proclaimed experts that wrote books. I spent thousands of dollars.
Needless to say I went nowhere fast.

In 2003 I hooked up with an eBay Store which was ultimately quasi successful, but got frustratied with all the rules and changes imposed on us by eBay we had to keep up with. We had over 2000 products in the store so when we had to delete a phrase, resize a picture or change something trivial it got quite onerous. Not to mention we were warehousing product, shipping and dealing with drop shippers, some good and some bad. Be that as it may we gave it up a couple years ago. So we now have a spare room full of unsold product.

However, the online selling bug has never left me and now I am here back to affiliates with what appears to be a heck of a lot of support. I have adapted to Wordpress and the templates have been extremely helpful. We'll see, but I have a running start with a single website and with a more dedicated approach I expect much better results than I previously encountered.

I was encouraged by the number of welcome messages I recieved when I became a premium member and hope to capitalize on the training and the success stories. My experience in business taught me if you sit back and listen you will learn more than solely through trial and error.
