The First Day of The Isle of Man TT 2019
Today is the first day of practice for the 2019 Tourist Trophy (TT). The year is also the 100th event of the TT to be held on the island. The TT began in 1907, and every year since then, axcept the two World War years, making this the 100th event.
Visitors From Around The World
Our ferries and aircraft are busy bringing not only the riders and their respective teams, but tens of thousands of visiting spectators. There are over 500 TT Marshalls that are required to make this event possible. Many of whom travel far, from many countries, to be a part of this event. People travel from all over the world, as far as the US and Canada, Australia and New Zeeland, and Japan.
Well, this post was meant for Saturday, but as luck would have it, The Mountain Course was doused in low cloud and poor visibility. All the practice runs were postponed until Sunday afternoon.
Sunday, practice went without incident. Then the rain returned for Monday practice, so that was cancelled until Tuesday. Everyone got round safely. This is always a worry. Unfortunately, many visiting bikes think they are invincible, but the cours says otherwise. A couple of guys came off and ending up in our local hospital.
I wanted to get out and take some photos, but I've not managed to get out yet. With luck my next update will include some photos of this year's practice runs, and next week is race week. So, a lot to look forward to, and the weather forecast is looking promising.
I Am Writing Again
On a more positive note, I am writing again! Hurrah!
To be honest, I missed my writing, and it feels good now that I'm back. I look forward to posting my latest effort on my website tonight when I get home from work.

TT programmes were being postponed due to weather conditions. That gave time and opportunity to our frIend to reach out to us.
Isn't it amazing how much you can do with Wealthy Affiliate, regardless of weather conditions.

Yes indeed, Manx radio will be blaring out down at my local garage for the next couple of weeks. A good friend will be there for the duration and has been every year for the last sixteen. If you're into bikes and racing it will be a spectacle not to be missed.
