Sitting At My Desk Too Long

I'm calling it a day now. I've been working at my desk this evening and my back pain has returned. My posture is not correct, and it hurts!

Despite the pain, I have written 500 words of my next article. When finished it will be close to 1,500 words.

One thing I have noticed, as I'm working, writing as well as researching, ideas and keywords for future articles are coming at me thick and fast. Best of all when I start feeding these ideas through Jaaxy they are low hanging fruit with double-digit traffic and low QSR.

If only I could find more hours in the day!

Good post Paul,
Working through the pain barrier.
As I like to say, what don't kill you makes you stronger.
Regards Shane,

I like this post, but I'm thinking...why does it seem that everyone is pushing so hard even to the detriment of their well being?

Even the comments are not complete circle. Killing yourself today is not going to bring results more quickly tomorrow.

"Despite the pain, I have written 500 words of my next article. When finished it will be close to 1,500 words."

I'm not sure I fully understand.

Am I missing something here?

Paul.

I’m pushing myself to reach my goals. When I get there I can ease off the pressure. The sooner my goals are achieved the sooner I can retire. No pain, no gain! 😊

Understood.
Cheers.

Great! My website is about natural pain remedies. I have to figure out how to add it on my profile. But do get up and move around every once in awhile. Your back will thank you and your brain will work better!

Hi Paul.

In my case, it's hay fever or something, but it seems to affect me much worse when I'm at my work desk.

I'm scheduling a thorough dusting and vacuuming tomorrow which will entail having to shut down my laptop, something I hate to do because it never seems to come back as perfect as it was. ☹️

I hope your back improves. (I've got a prolapsed disc, L4/L5, so I know whereof you speak.)

Regards,

Thanks, Tayo.

Regular breaks to get up, walk about and stretch help but that's easier said than done when you are busy.
It's wonderful when more ideas spring forward like that. I think a 48 hour day would be ideal.
Take care.

Hi Paul, take that necessary time out. Back pain has affected a lot of people including me. In Yoga there are methods where if you find yourself sitting down, spending X amount of time in the same position, (which I know is not good for you), alternatives in switching positions and also spending at least 3 minutes to alleviate further damage and help you with the pain.
Wishing you well

Sorry about the back pain, hope you get some relief. I know how you feel. I had two discs replaced at c4 and c5 in my neck about 7 months ago. Had a pretty good sized bone spur pushing up against my spine, which they ground off. They put plastic discs in there and screwed it all together... Feels good now!

Take care of your back!!

I could use a couple more hours, or a clone of myself, so I could hang all day on WA. Sorry your back hurts. Keep plugging along!

It takes time, doesn't it? I'm sure many will tell you it gets easier!
