I have noticed frequent questions regarding the Traffic, QSR and SEO figures on Jaaxy. I love Jaaxy, and I spend a lot of time in there. It is a treasure trove. But, what is Traffic, QSR and SEO? How do they relate to one another?

Once you have entered in the keyword(s) that you are researching, Jaaxy lists that keyword along with further suggestions, displaying numbers under several headings. Here I am going to cover Traffic, QSR and SEO.

What is Traffic?

Traffic is the easiest one to explain, and is the number of people entering those string of words into a search engine. The impression I got was that these figures come from Google only, as is stated by the QSR note below.

What is QSR?

The QSR is the Quoted Search Results. Usually, when you use a search engine, you type in words describing what it is you are searching. The search engine does its best to return a ranked list of pages that the search engine deems is the closest match to what you are searching for, the SERPS - Search Engine Results PageS.

We've all heard of the dreaded Google algorithm. Well, this is how Google searches its index and sorts the search results to the best match your search term.

But the caveat here is your search term is interpreted many ways using all the words in your search string in any order. Sometimes, it brings you back some strange results.

To be more targeted, you can search for the same search terms but enclosing the string of words in double-quotes. Now, the search engine knows that you only want to see pages with an exact match to the words you have enclosed in quotes.

The search engine understands this and will readjust its search and only return web page listings ranked in order, that only contain the exact match of words that you typed in.

This list is the Quoted Search Results or QSR.

The QSR figures within Jaaxy can be as low as 0 and up into the hundreds. The higher, the more competitive it is and therefore, the harder to rank, especially if you are new to this, and your website is young.

What is SEO?

The SEO or Search Engine Optimisation figure is Jaaxy's calculation based on the Traffic and level of competition - QSR - for that keyword. The SEO score ranges from 0 to 100.

What Does This All Mean?

When I am researching a new keyword, I am looking at the Keyword, the Traffic, the QSR and the SEO.

Firstly, have we found a grammatically correct keyword phrase with Traffic but not too much Traffic, as the competition will be higher. The first criteria for the newbie are the Traffic below 50.

Next up, is the QSR below 100? If it is above 100, then too many websites are already competing for that keyword phrase. Best to leave that for the more mature sites. Criteria number two, is the QSR below 100? The lower, the better - less competition!

Lastly, is the SEO over 90? If the SEO is in the 90 to 100 range, then in all probability, the Traffic and the QSR are 'Great' for the novice.

Conclusion

In taking all the above into consideration, Jaaxy does all the donkey work for you, especially helpful for the new kid on the block!

There are only two things you need to check!

Is the Keyword phrase grammatically correct - do you like it?

Is the SEO figure between 90 and 100? (For this to be true, the Traffic and QSR must also be Great!).

In the above example, all four have good SEO. One isn't good Grammar. The last one has a QSR of 84. That is still good (under 100) but the Traffic is the same as the other two. That leads me to believe, I should choose the first in this list, as the competision is on 2! I'll go for "how to start with an online business from home".

If you find grammatically sound keywords, and the Traffic is in the hundreds or even thousands, and the SEO is between 90 and 100, please PM me, you've just struck gold!

Maybe I'm missing something fundamental!
