I was reading a blog article about security plugins and it occurred to me. Does WA handle the security or should we have a firewall plugin installed?
Hi Paul I got this great plugin called Wordfence Security it has firewall it is free and it's application is free also it is on your dashboard, Hope this helps
Thanks, Edward, I guess we don't need the security firewall now. WA takes care of all that.
Yes, they handle it you don;t need a firewall plugin. You do need a firewall on your network though.
Just another feature of why WA is so awesome - they take care of website security. I would worry if I was out there on my own and open to hack attacks since I don't know tech stuff. Love WA!

Should we get a firewall plugin?
I was reading a blog article about security plugins and it occurred to me. Does WA handle the security or should we have a firewall plugin installed?
Hey Paul, you definitely DO NOT need a security plugin. The problem with plugins is that they run on your website and that means a potential attacker is already at your site if you're relying on the plugin. We've got many security measures in place to keep your websites safe that are hosted with us.
Cheers,
Carson

which keyword to promote?
Which of the following would you rather use? Consider that all other variables are the same.
A. 40/0/94 or B. 3053/163/73,
I would go with C because traffic is over 100 ( you show 128) and QSR is under 100 (you show 1).
B. no possibility of traffic with A and C if I understood the question. I see others have said C but you only have a chance for 1 visitor a month if ranked on page 1 of the search results. QSR below 100 and 90+ chance of being ranked doesn't help if the chance of traffic is 0 or 1. Just do the math.
Oh, I'm sorry Steven I didn't list the second number on Jaaxy. I only listed the ave/qsr/ and the SEO. I skipped the traffic number.
I was afraid of that and you need to look at the ave also. I still might go for B and focus on high quality content and driving traffic to the post to raise it in the ranking.
I'm looking for average monthly traffic of 200 to 400 and a SEO of 80 or higher. I understand the concept of low qsr but the math doesn't support it as being the best guide for earning enough money. I don't disregard qsr but I look at all the numbers.
And, there's nothing that says you can't include 2 keywords in your post you know.
I would go with C. I think it would have the best chance of bringing in the customers and better ranking.
I would choose C. If I am reading this correctly that would give you a 98% chance of hitting page 1 on google.

You're welcome. I'm saying this guessing that you're stating average/QSR/SEO. Please specify if that is not the case.

the numbers above are just as an example, but is it wise for us to attempt to market into that kind of keyword?
It looks like there would be little competition right? Or
the qsr is your competition. lower the better. WA recommend a qsr less than 100 for a NEW site. i like to go by the 100 rule of thumb. 100or more avg searches for that keyword. 100 or more traffic and less than 100 competing website (qsr ) according to Wa lessons . but its not written in stone, in other lessons the numbers varies but close.. Those are some excellent numbers go for it.
manne is right test it but it looks great. what is the SEO (percentage you'll be ranked on page 1 for this keyword? should be very high (98 or higher)
I really learned something from the answer below, because that is exactly what I am dealing with in the research for my niche.
Forever Grateful
Mojalefa.
Yes, the lower the QSR the lower the competition is for that particular keyword.
If you want to double check the QSR then copy and paste into Google, and then put quotations around it so you search for that particular phrase only. If it still comes back in the low numbers definitely use it, as long as it is relevant to your niche.
Take care
Cool idea. thanks. when i do a google search the results are confusing to me. None of the sites are named with the keyword anywhere in it. I don't see the keyword in their newer articles either.
what could that mean?
the keywords or phrases will be thru out the site like in the title, sub heading or body.etc it should be in the content somewhere.

10000 average hits and 25 qsr is this worth attempting?

Question: if my keyword is say ‘writing short stories’ and when I make the title to an article I use ‘Fun writing short stories’ does that ‘fun&rs
Be sure and include your key words in your first paragraph of your post I think google looks for that also.
Kyle just recently submitted an article about Organic Milk. It demonstrates keywords and what types are beneficial to increase traffic, maybe this article will answer some of your questions about the subject!
Everyone here seems to have a solid grasp on ranking in google. I have very limiyed knowledge. Is thid because I am not as far along in the training. I thought this was an insightful question and was curious about the amswer. Just wondering if the further traing will prepare me with simalr knowledge downg the road.
Ranking is within affiliate marketing. The best way to learn about it is to actually try it hands on with your own BLOG! Depending on your target audience you should find out what your rankings are I learned that from Carson!
We have several answers that are all pretty close Mary, I hope you got out of it what i did.
Yes, that's why keyword rich content is important. But don't over do it, they will consider it spamming. Everything I have researched says 3 to 5 times for the main keyword other keywords 1 or 2 times in your content.
kenny
No, it shouldn't affect you keyword. In fact, you may find yourself getting ranked for both keywords. Google isn't just going to rank your keyword, it will rank your content. You focus keyword should be the topic that everything is based around, but it isn't the only thing you will get ranked for.
Take care.
My thought has always been, no. I would say if someone in searching "writing short stories" It would pick that up. If someone was searching "fun writing short stories", then it would pick that up.
That's just my thought process though. Not sure.
You can always go into google search console and see what keywords your site is hitting for. It will kind of give you an idea.
kenny
No, fun does not add as an additional keyword. But if someone searches for that exact phrase you have an even better chance of ranking for that.
I like keyword phrases that have an average hit of over 100 per month and a QSR of less than 100.

A third party app named traffic Travis wants it for the set up. is it safe?
Mark Ling is the founder of Traffic Travis. He's the real deal. If you want to try it I would be comfortable saying it's safe.
I have it on my laptop and it works fine.
I still prefer Jaaxy :)
Take it from me Paul, you have everything you need it one place here.
Keep it simple
I've jumped around a bit a I have done a ton of research. This is in my opinion the best place to be if you want to pursue a life as an affiliate marketer. My only regret is I wish I would have settled here sooner!
:)
Steve
Traffic Travis the SEO word search platform used by Affilorama. It's a reputable company. I've used and it's safe.
It does basically the same thing Jaxy does for us here at WA.
Unless you're just trying out the free version I would just recommend upgrading your Jaaxy account.
That is unless you're promoting Affilorama :)
My two cents
Steve
Well that is interesting. Now if i can do that with my own articles. lol thanks for finding it.
What about if he sets up and you change the password immediately after?
Are the fears that he plants something or damages something?
I don’t trust many, I would assume he’s devious. But hey live a little, the choice is yours Paul! Lol
Wayne
If he wants your dashboard sign in. I am not sure if its a good idea. Double check his credentials. But what is he trying to do for you, that you cannot do yourself?
