Today is the LONGEST day!
Hi guys and Gals
Over here in Europe today is the longest day and it will say light till nearly midnight!
All people love this day as it is a celebration and people get together and have fun!
My wife has been out walking with Goggy and come back with the first fresh mushrooms and also wild strawberries and this is such a great treat for this day!
She will make a salad and cook the mushroom with a cream sauce with soft roasted potatoes and as few spices. For the dessert we will have grounded wild strawberries mixed with curd and spread over soft bakes buns and of course will wash it down with Conac!!!!
All good fun for the longest and a day to remember and also a big long woof from Goggy!

Paul, are you sure? Solstice is always on 21st, more precisely in the Northern Hemisphere it was at 06:24 Central European Time on Wednesday.
Daylight at midnight! That sounds fun. Here in Arizona, it is dark by 8....shen I lived on the east coast it would stay light until Bout 10. I miss that. Enjoy your delicious sounding meal. Debbie
the nearest I can get to that in google is St John's eve, where the christian church moved it to the 24th then started on the eve with celebrations...in any case I went out to the forest on June 21st and it was dark an hour earlier than the two weeks previous...maybe the cloud, but it was strange!
