How many backlinks do you have?
Hi Guys and Gals
Seen a few comments on backlinks recently so to help you know just how many you already have just do the following OK
first thing open this http://checkpagerank.net/index.php
this will appear and fill it in as I have done - see below
click on the Next Check domain tab and this will appear see below
This is also interesting to see as well on the social behaviour - see below
AS you can see 68% of my traffic is coming from Social which is a great inside!

Well done Paul on acquiring so many backlinks.
I'm sure you'll know but I think it's worth stating for those that might not that absolute number of backlinks is not the defining issue for the search engines.
It's more a question of the quality of those links and by that I mean where they emanate from.
Google values backlinks that have been earned organically from high quality, authority sites and will rank your site accordingly.
They do not place value on links that have been gained by gaming the system ie cheap, paid for links or links gained by spamming or through exchanges with low quality sites or from private networks set up by the webmaster/site owner.
The site owner will see their site rank higher with fewer, high quality links than by having many low quality ones.
