378 emails when I open my mail today!

well today its a record for me
This is the largest amount of emails I have had when I open my mail and I am still wading through them so sorry If I miss anything that I should not!
It is great to get emails and great to be with such an organisation that keeps you in touch ate leat three times a day so you are never alone!
But as always all good fun!

My inbox is flooded with WA email notifications, too. Everyone I'm following seems to be hard at work contributing to WA. Way to go everyone!
I don't read most of them or even open most of them, unless something looks interesting and I'm not at work - but it's important newbies know they don't have to bother with all this, unless they actually enjoy it then they can instead just stick with the training and their websites - what they came in for!
Lol I have never had 300, but I have logged on to my email and had a tone and had a where do I start moment...
That's a ton of email! I think perhaps WA's developers should consider "Email Digests" or summaries. There should also be some kind of scheduling (that members can choose) regarding when they are sent to your inbox as well. This would allow members to review all their WA updates in one or two daily emails vs 100+. It's just a thought on a more user-friendly experience which I feel would improve things. I'm still very new here, but I'm already getting a lot of emails by the minute which could be easily summarized in some form of an email summary/digest.
you can switch them off in your account settings, and I personally don't open most of them, unless the heading is something that interests me...
Thank you - I'll check into that. I like the emails, don't get me wrong, but digests might be something WA should consider.
well there may be something like that already when you consider we can just go onto the activity dashboard and scan down the list of whatever has been published recently - it also gives the person's name and profile pic, which is also faster than opening emails. That's a nice thing to do at the end of the day and catch up with stuff that's going on.
I think digests would require hiring someone to do that, and then put prices up, also you get much faster at all this after a while
This seems like a good indicator of success. Hopefully one day soon it becomes so unmanageable and business is so good that you can get a secretary to reply to emails for you!
You better put the coffee on to help you get through that large number of emails.

I am finding it very difficult to keep up with all the email messages.
It takes me hours everyday. I know I have to learn a better system for managing my time and dealing with all those messages.
I end up reading and replying and then having very little time left for working on the lessons and my websites.
Balance. I need to get some!

I can relate Paul, my inbox has hundreds of email everyday, and 90% of them are from WA. I have dedicated a computer just for the ones I receive from WA, that way I can manage them in one place only. It can get quite overwhelming too. I try to get to most of them, but it's not always possible, especially if I skip a day...But it's all good and fun! :)
