My stats seem consistent to WA but I don't see any sales. Any ideas?

Hey Paul!

Just because someone clicks on your affiliate link doesn't mean that they will buy.

Maybe try adding different call to actions or something like that. Sometimes you have to experiment and see what really works with people.

People also have to build trust with you too so that might be another factor. Try adding a newsletter or something as a subscription gift.

Also, I've learned not to worry about the money. I find my results are better when I don't worry about it and just focus on creating good content.

Hope this helps and keep up the good work :)

I have some affiliate related names that I was going to build with links to WA. In the mean time I wanted to forward them to WA with my affiliate link. They don't seem to go

No, I want to re-direct with a delay so visitors can read my message then be forwarded to WA.

Hi Paul,

I don't think WA is blocking anything in that respect. Have you checked the code and made sure you did not have any spelling errors ?

Also test your affiliate link itself and see if it works.

Also it maybe worth creating a new page for the redirect and test the html code with another link.

Sorry if you have done these already.

Another quicker option would be a workaround where the view has the option to clink on you affiliate links themselves.

Regards,

John,

Thanks, John,
I got it working, though I am not certain, it may have been a space that kept 'self-inserting' in the HTML string in my affiliate link. The tech guy at my host SiteGround checked it and when I re-inserted it the 'space' was gone.
The symptoms were kept showing up in the address bar on a WA error page.
I tried eliminating the space myself in the url re-direct instructions, but it kept returning. When the tech checked it, it disappeared. Go figure.
Thanks, though, and you were right in all your suggestions.

Hi Paul

It's always mistyped characters or spaces that have coders scratching their heads for hours.

Glad you got it resolved.

I have 200 generic domain names.
I have selected about 20 of them that relate to making money or doing something internet related.
Since I am building sites on them one at a time, I figured I would url redirect them to WA in hopes of getting some drip commissions while I am working on a better blog or niche.
I forwarded some of the names to a short url I have, then re-directed it to my affiliate link at WA. I put a refesh delay syntax in the html code and it stopped forwarding.
It kept inserting a in the re-direct field at my hosting server.
I decided to make sure there were no "blocks" or "policies" at WA that would prevent me from forwarding traffic with a delay sequence (so the visitor could view my email address or click on it for 5 seconds before it forwarded to WA or SiteRibix).
I can't imagine WA being the "block" so I thought I would ask.
Thanks for your response.

Hi Paul,

Just to go back a bit you want to simply make a word on your website a web link such as your affiliate links ?

Yes, but while i was away I figured out how to make an email capture page, thank them and then forward them.
Thanks for all your help, I am glad to be back.
