Walmart moving from Linkshare Rakuten to Impact
Just got an email to say that Walmart are moving from Linkshare Rakuten over to Impact – does this mean that all my Linkshare Rakuten links need to be changed over to new Impact formatted links?
If so, this is a huge additional workload that I did not expect – has this affected you? Do you plan to change all the links for them?
This chopping and changing is becoming a bit of a pain…
- A really good merchant in Shareasale just decided in the last week to close their affiliate program – all those posts and links needs to be changed
- A top rank merchant in Shareasale decided to move over to Commission junction – again all the links and posts need to be changed / updated
- Now Walmart decide to migrate over to Impact
Anyone else experiencing this level of chopping and changing and unexpected additional workloads?
Many thanks if you get the opportunity to reply
Regards
Paul

Vendors move to affiliate programs that give them the best deal just as we do Paul.
It is just one of those little problems we face now and them. Unfortunate, but they obviously have their reasons for moving.

No I am not because I chose to promote WA because that’s where I am making an income.
Hope you can sort out this workload and All the best
Thanks for sharing. I have not experienced this before but it does seem unfortunate if you have to update all of your links. If so, I hope there is a way to update links in bulk - a plugin maybe?
I'm hoping others will jump in the comments with relevant experience/solution.

I suggest you use Pretty Links to manage your links. That makes it much easier to change when a merchant moves or closes their program.
