Results for the last 7 days with Amazon US only – over $115
This is just a small update for the last 7 days with Amazon USA only where I have achieved over $115 in commissions which is great to see at this time of year. I haven’t even promoted anything or reviewed anything from a U.S. point of view for the past 4 months but still I am getting commission results from work that was done 6 months ago during the Summer.
Why haven’t I done anything from a US point of view? It is because my focus has been in the UK market for the past 4 months (2 other websites) and I expect to see these results in Jan and Feb next year for this work. I also get commission sales with Amazon UK separately each month along with Commission junction and AWIN so when you add them all up together, it certainly makes all the effort worthwhile.
So you know, I only do this on a part time basis as I have a full time job and a young family to look after also but I always try to give 10 to 15 hours per week for my online business no matter what happens. My results of the last 7 days with Amazon US only is outlined below…
3 tips based on my own experience if you are interested…
1. Don’t put all your eggs into one basket. The €115 generated from Amazon alone in the last 7 days is based on 3 different websites and each contribute to the overall commissions generated each month. My 2 UK based websites generate separate commissions also so it is possible to work multiple niches with various websites even on a part time basis in my opinion.
2. Partner with reputable companies who are within the affiliate networks and review their best sellers based on keyword research. If people are searching for reviews on their best sellers, then these will convert easily and you will find that the competition is a lot lower so it is much easier to get page 1 search results for these reviews.
3. Get more consistent with reviews over 1.5k words and publish 3 to 4 each week. I find that once you have 50 to 70 reviews done for a website, you can start a new one and repeat the process all over again (but return to it again at a later date). The websites then that are not delivering results can be scrapped and just focus then on the websites that do give results.
This is all done without PPC, no email marketing, very little social media work and no outsourcing. I am not writing this to boast but to encourage some of you out there that may be struggling to generate commissions – you need to look long term and be consistent each week with generating content and become somewhat of an authority in the niche you are taking on.

I always do better when I am consistent. That is my biggest downfall. I can't wait until I can quit my job and do websites and rental property full time.
