Make a blog sticky
I've changed my WA affiliate website from "website style" to "blog style", but I wanted the front page, now a blog roll, to have a static first post by way of introduction. To do this you have to write a post to use as an intro and save it.
- Next, go to your dashboard, go to "all posts" and you'll see a list of all your posts.
- Identify the post you want to stay at the top of the front page and click "Quick edit" under the post name. You'll need to hover over the post name for the option to appear.
- Look to the bottom right of the section you've just opened and look for "Make Sticky" which is a tick box.
- Tick it and save.
From now on that post will stay at the head of your front page. You can see exactly what I mean here: http://legitimateworkfromhomejobs.siterubix.com/

Nice one Paul, you also answered my question, I had been wondering what make sticky did exactly.
That has always been a question I have had. Is it better to make a PAGE be your main page/post of your site or make a POST sticky? What is best for SEO purposes?

Make sticky sounds like it is a pinned post/article, as in a FB pinned post at the top of a page. Nice short intro to your website. I've been struggling to come up with the suggested number of words for mine, without filler. Looks real good Paul.
