Do you know your WHY?

To be honest I don't think I even knew my why just a few short years ago.

Finding your WHY comes with life experiences, the ups and downs of life, knowing what you like and don't like.

When something becomes important enough to you that it becomes a mission then you know its your WHY. You need to want it badly enough.

Your WHY will help you stay focused on your goal.

Popular WHY's could be personal satisfaction or financial freedom but we each have our own individual reasons for doing things. Our WHYs are about us being in control of our own destinies.

It shouldn't be all about the money. "If money were no object" what would you like to be doing?

Ask people you know and trust what they think your strengths are.

What do you help other people with. Are people consulting with you for any reason?

FREEDOM to set our own goals can be nice can be nice but the alternative is ...

No one to take the blame for our failures, this when your WHY is important.

Your goals needs your total commitment, if its going to work!

Get out and start doing what you want to do. If it is your WHY this will clarify for you any doubts.

Why are you so passionate about your WHY? You need to understand this so that you can share it with others.

Your customer needs to feel your love for what you do, if this is achieved you will get their support and their business.

You are so right about this "Why" in one's life and how we are conveying it to our customers.
Yes from our experiences will help us to know what are Why's are and how we want it to work in our life's.
Thank you Pat!
Linda :))

Yes, so important to get your WHY straight before going around in circles.

Yep!!!

Hi Pat, My WHY began to become known to me in 1996 when I was injured on the job and I spent the next 3 years going to doctors and physical therapy. My military and firefighting careers came to an end. After 3 years I began to come back into the work force because I was far to young to just be disabled.

I tried my own business but I started too soon for my health. After this I went to teaching at a Christian school for 4 years. I started to learn more about my passion and my WHY but I was not there yet. I went back into the fire service as a fire marshal because I did not have to do all of the physical things. I was a fire inspector/investigator.

During this time, I continued to struggle with my health until I made a decision to stop feeling sorry for myself and to do what I needed to do to regain my health. (Before my injury, I was in great shape, I even ran a marathon one day because my girlfriend broke up with me. I just went out and started running to clear my head and I ran 27 mile until my head was clear. {Forrest Gump} Anyway, this shows how physically fit I was.) I went from that to not being able to walk and having someone help me to lift a one pound weight with my left arm.

In 2009 I had one more thing happen to shape my passion and my WHY. I was laid off from my state fire marshal job due to cutbacks and the overall economy. I decided that I was going to go back to school and get a degree in nutritional science and learn how to battle diabetes and the complications that go along with it.

I lost 100 pounds and I learned how to regain my health. I even graduated with a 4.0 grade average. My passion and my destiny as I now understand it is to help teach others how to improve their health and to help those with type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes to regain their health and improve their standard of living.

I also want to help others to learn this business because many of the people that struggle with their health have even more struggles with their financial health due to them not being able to work or having the stamina to live normal lives.

I know that this is a long answer to your comments but all of this together guides me forward in my passion of writing and helping others to improve their lives by improving their physical and financial health. The WHY of this is because I know that this is what God wants me to do and everything that has happened in my life thus far has guided me towards this moment. Dave.

Yes I see that everything that has happened has led you to the place you are right now. Most people who choose a WHY to do with health have gone through some sort of trauma or illness, but their WHY is now clear. For others they are still trying to figure it out.

ever read Start wit Why by Simon Sinek? if not I recommend it. it goes into detail on finding and living by your why

Yes I have, thanks Jon :)

Hi Pat and good post again and the answer to the question by my way I'd reply is well why not - best regards. Paul

Thanks Paul.. Maybe personal satisfaction is your why!

Hi pat well it is a combination of thing really but I think that is the closest as I live what I am doing and I feel useful !!!
