Why is DianeScorpio Treating Me This Way?
I don’t know.
You call someone OLD FLUFF once.
Just ONCE I tell you!! And they start treating you with disdain.
I almost feel a bit narcissistic writing this blog post.
But, in truth, I do it for my friend Diane.
You may see her as the Queen of No Fluff.
Someone who takes no prisoners, and says it how it is.
But I know different.
There is a very sweet side, almost a vulnerability (don’t tell her I told you that).
And I find it ever so endearing (don’t tell her that either).
Anyway, Diane is creating a new series of blog posts.
She will invite WA members into the “Scorpion’s Den” and interview them.
You’ll get an insight into the person, their family, their background, their online successes and failures.
Plus, you’ll hear what they actually think about WA… ooooohhhh.
It just so happens that Diane’s first “victim” was Yours Truly.
Yes, Diane interviewed me, and I was honest as I could possibly be in answer to each question (this is why I’m feeling slightly narcissistic, am I promoting myself?)

Do you know what Diane did to me with her first interview in the Scorpion’s Den?
She published her blog post during the WA platform graveyard shift on Saturday PM (GMT).
You know the time I mean.
It’s like a ghost town on the platform.
You get one WA blog post every two hours, usually something like, “I Can Cut an Orange into Triangles” or “My Pet Octopus Stole My Car”.
Basically, there is not a soul here on the platform (except for those lurking in the background).
How could she do that to me?
Diane seemed ever so slightly (just a teeny-tiny bit mind) distraught that no-one had seen or commented on her blog post.
We even commandeered people in Live Chat to go visit and comment.
However, alas, poor blog post was soon to disappear into the abyss of dead blog posts that nobody loves.
And then the following conversation ensued.
D: I’ve never had that happen before, not a single person has commented on the blog post.
P: Well, you did pick the worst time to publish it. No-one’s ever on the platform as this time on a Saturday.
D: I know, but it’s such a shame to see it go to waste.
P: Why don’t you write another blog post introducing the interview, and obviously post it at a more popular time of the day?
D: But that will make me look needy. Can’t you do it?
P: I can’t do it. It will make me look arrogant.
D: But I don’t want to look needy.
P: So, you would rather that I look arrogant than you look needy?
D: I knew you’d understand, thank you very much!
WHY IS DIANE TREATING ME THIS WAY?

Right, I’m sure there are many of you who are sick to the back teeth at the mere mention of my name (I know I am, and I’m sure I’ll be doing one of my 2-month disappearing acts very soon).
But, I do this more for Diane than myself (although it still does feel ever so slightly arrogant).
Please can we raise a smile on OLD FLUFF’S face once more.

Your response to the interview was heart touching and inspirational.
Every point in your response is meant to teach something a valuable lesson about life or business.
One point I would love to follow up on is the issue of mentality.
Basically, you mentioned mentality as being an important part of the equation of succeeding online.
One question I wish the interviewer would have asked you is whether you have daily rituals (routines) that help to keep you mentally aligned with your goals.
As we are now in the age of digital distraction, such an advice/tip will be helpful to someone like me. Hahaha

I loved your interview Partha. It was engaging and very personal. You are a very kind soul, especially the care you gave to your parents at the sunset of their lives. Although it was hard, I am sure you wouldn't have changed a thing.

Fantastic and moving interview Prince P!
I would remind you of what I think of you for sharing your wisdom when it comes to keyword research and writing articles etc...
However, I would rather tell you how special I think you are and how much more you are elevated in my eyes for caring for your parents when they needed you most.
I was a caregiver for my Grandmother from 2004 to 2006 until she passed. Being a caregiver for someone you love and having to watch them pass away is probably the most difficult thing you can do, emotionally, mentally, and physically (especially mentally and emotionally!!!)

P.S. Not to make light of what I just wrote, but I'm also an only child. I was wondering why I related to you so well.
