Blech, Downside of Working for Yourself

I'm all psyched up going into the new year, but I'm also frustrated because I just got reminded of one of the downsides of working for yourself: no paid sick days and no one to cover your work while you're out. I got slammed with a cold or flu or goodness knows what and didn't even manage to drag myself to my computer until 5 p.m.

In addition to the sites I'm creating through Wealthy Affiliate, I also have other online businesses. That means that I get behind when illness rears its ugly head. Thankfully I tend to be a very healthy person overall, but you can't totally avoid the colds and flu.

Oh well, I'm online now and getting as much work done as I can. My new websites are the ones that are suffering because I'm still establishing them, but I have to give more effort to my established sites and works because that's where the biggest chunk of my income is right now. I know this will get me a little bit behind, but with lots of fluids, rest, and drugs I'm hoping it won't be much of a setback.
