Google Adsense - Can you have too much?
Hi WA Friends.
So my Adsense was approved last week and small ads started appearing yesterday down in the comments section of my site. Beautiful. Wonderful. I had wanted to see how it looks before I went full bore. :p. So last night I went for most of the gusto they have to offer in ad placement. Now I have ads .. Everywhere. I like it. But I'm kind of wondering if my visitors will find it too much. They are in between my post listings on my home page. They are in my sidebar. lol.. Throughout my articles..
So now I'm wondering if I went from small and tasteful to overdone. Maybe not. But I'm paranoid of scaring away the little traffic I do get.
Let me know your thoughts and experiences with the number of ads on your websites and blogs. Thank you!!

When I read a post I want to read that and not a load of ads as well Paula. I find ads appearing in posts very irritating. So yes I think you can have too many ads on your website.

Thank you. I find so many websites have Tons of ads. I was beginning to think that's the new normal. But I like mine as more relaxed and the content is key. Appreciate the feedback.
I, personally, find posts crawling with ads quite irritating and that might be the deciding factor in deciding to leave the post.

You may want to reduce some and see how the traffic is affected before scaling up. I like to leave areas around my posts for links to affiliate products etc.
This is up to you, yet depending on your theme it can be too much.
Thank you for responding. I hadn't really put too many affiliate links in yet in anticipation of adsense and also because my site is only about 6 weeks old.. I'll see what I think over the next few days. You advice means a lot. Thank you.

I worked too hard to have a great looking, professional website. I am not going to litter it up like a Nascar driver's uniform with penny ads.
