6 Month Milestone - The Journey Continues.

Well it's been six months since I started with WA! Wow. It's hard to believe. I've accomplished so much, at least with my website.

In the last month, I've had a few sales too! As I've gone along, I've definitely grown and feel like my site has grown too and become a little more sophisticated with just a few tweaks. That's why we're told to keep writing and creating. Because that's what helps us learn and acquire an eye for what will work.

It's definitely not as fast as we'd like, but we get there. :) Of course, we get a lot of help here from our fellow members and friends who have more experience than many of us. Our learning curve in WA is MUCH faster than it would be if we were on our own 'figuring it out'. Thank you, old-timers! haha.

There was a little hiccup that happened a week after my first sales on Amazon. I got an email on Thanksgiving morning (US) that Amazon was cutting me off, citing I didn't have the Amazon Associates disclosure on my site. The day before Black Friday!! I did have it on my Affiliate Disclosure page but that's not good enough apparently. Well my mistake. But the fact they would do it at just the worst possible time was unforgivable to me. Thankfully, I had pursued other affiliate programs and quickly got more to replace Amazon. To heck with them!! I then spent days replacing all my Amazon links.

You know what, I feel I'm better off. Amazon has its place but it no longer has a place on my site. lol. This is called being resilient, folks. :) Just go in a different direction if things go awry.

Now for the future....

My goal for the first quarter of next year is to break even with the little bit I'm spending on my business per month. My goal for the 2nd quarter is to have $500 in income per month from my online business activities, including my website. By the end of 2020, I'd like to see $1000 per month in income from my business and online busniness activities.

I don't know if those are good goals or not but it seems like a bit of a stretch and something worth striving for. My niche is extremely competitive so if I become more successful in that, I will feel like I've hit the big time. :) (Eventually I'd like to add an MMO site).

Bottom line, I think I've been able to create something I'm proud of and that can help others. I never thought I'd have created a website with multiple pages, categories and significant content in a niche I'm passionate about six months ago. lol. And I have so much more to learn!!! It's really only just begun.

I wish everyone the best on your journeys and achieve what you consider success on your own terms! Thanks to Everyone who has helped me so far! I appreciate it so much..!

Oh and Happy Holidays Friends!!

Hello Paula,

I am proud of you. There are so much I should learn from you. Your experience is a good direction for me because I just join in WA 2 months ago. I am still working hard on the content and the skill.

Wish you a good achievement of your goals.

Dolbe

Thanks, Dolbe. :)

Hi Paula, thank you for that Amazon warning tip, I would have made the same mistake. Also very helpful is your mentioning your sales/time experience. I see I have to lower my time expectations. So much to learn and consider. You guys are very helpful and encouraging.

OH you're welcome. Thanks for responding. :) Everyone's time frame is different. If you have a unique niche, your timeframe might be faster.

Paula

You have some very realistic goals. Well done. I need to learn some patience from you.

Everyone's timeframe is different. It depends on how competitive your niche is. Thanks, Alia.

Congratulations I also had a hick up with Amazon and had to do the same thing but then I found something better. I have also been in WA for 6 months and have learnt so much I still have to make that first sale but I believe it will come. Well done again

Thanks, Kay. I agree with you on finding something better. I feel I'm better off now. :) You will have that first sale!

Paula

Hi,
Congratulations on your reaching your 6 month goal. You have definitely achieved a lot in this short time. Sorry to hear about Amazon - Trial and error with things aye. In one respect its a learning but also very annoying. I think next years goals you have are very realistic and will likely happen for you as you sound very committed so on that note - All the best for your goals - and the up coming holiday season...
Anita.

Thank you, Anita. :) I think it's realistic but also hope it's better than that.
