Recapping On October, November And December

Okay guys, I have had a pretty tough last Quarter. As you all might know I have gotten a normal job since June this year and have therefore been hard at work at a normal job. Outside of that I have gotten really busy with a lot of things. There has also been health issues, both for me and my wife, that has caused me to spend more time on real life vs my business sites here at WA.

Health Issues

First I was hit with a Burnout

Secondary with Back-problems

The back problem knocked me out of order for my normal job too. I would think that the back problem had much to do with the burnout. During the burnout start I just dropped the writing for my sites and a lot of things at home, but was still working fulltime or more on my job. That last part of course had to kill that one too with a backpain.

Being home for about 2-3 weeks gave me time to get back to myself again and make a plan for the future. On that I will come back in the new year (tomorrow?). At time of writing it's less than 30 mins to the new year, so I thought I should get this post out asap.

With everything going wrong my sites were also suffering (or should I say site?). I managed to post 1 post on my cats site in November and posted the 1 post in December only like a day or two ago. That's 2 posts in 2 months.

In November I still had sales going for me on Amazon, while in December I still had clicks but no sales going at all. I take it that it had much to do with my lack of efforts, but on the other hand I do know that my site isn't generating constant sales yet.

New Plan

For the new year, I have new plans. First of all I want to concentrate on something that really fits me. It has to do with my bootcamp site. It also has to do with me as a teacher, coach and mentor. This fits extremely well with a bootcamp site.

On the other hand I do enjoy Twitch streaming. So far it has been random stuff, from gaming to cooking. The plan however is to change it all up towards teaching/coaching people into content creation, SEO and a bit is then as well Twitch streaming.

I am very well educated in IT, marketing and know now through WA a great deal of SEO and all it takes to create online content. I also have special interest in coaching, email marketing and video creation and editing.

The plan is of course to promote WA among other systems and run it all through my bootcamp site.

As for the cats site, I hope to continue it, but it will probably go towards 1 post a week.

I am also looking into doing time management better. Time blocking it will be based upon but I will take into account to spread my stuff well over a 2-week period. That way I don't need to push myself too hard with too many projects at once in the same week.

Other than all these new exciting plans I have decided to do less. This is a difficult part for me as I am not easy to let things go. I just have to let certain things go to concentrate on the things that matter.

What are your new year resolutions? Could you do more by doing less too?

Share your thoughts!

Wishing you all a wonderful new year's eve and a brilliant new year!

Excellent Steven , sometimes it just takes a break and some time to "think". We get caught up in the tasks before us and sometimes lose sight of the bigger picture or our own vision.

I like your goals and your personal motivations as well. I know you are 2019 is going to be an amazing one and I really look forward to working with you in the year ahead!

Thanks Kyle! Always great working with you and your teachings. Quite sure 2019 is going to be amazing and a positive change to many!

Hey Steven,
Keep on keeping on.
Happy New year to you and your family!!

Tried and True

Elaine

Thank you Elaine!

And Happy new year to you and yours too.

Steven

Hi Steven, Happy New Year to you and yours!

By all means focusing specifically on measurable and timebound goals can only be a beneficial way to advance.

I've had to clear off casual blogging in certain social media because it was wasting my time and not earning me any money :) It made time for WA.

All the best -- Marc

Hi Marc,

Happy new year to you too Marc!

That's the right spirit right there. Please learn me how to deal with cutting losses and moving on though. I probably should cut about 15 domain names that I probably never will do anything with and are costing me domain registration costs every year...

Steven

Hi Steven!

well let me tell you, I've bought about 20 experimental domain names myself in the last two months, as I kept changing my niche focus.

What I plan to do, is use a couple of them for real, save only a couple of related ones, then let the old ones expire. Or, sell them if they are worth anything by the time renewal is due (unlikely !)

cheers Marc

I have registered 7 here and many more through different providers outside WA for different purposes. A couple of them point to sites here. I will write about this topic someday soon.

Steven

On your social blogging topic, perhaps you should incorporate that inside WA. You can share all your own creations within WA on social media and email without the affiliate link and this will open up for receiving referrals.

Steven

good idea! I'll look into that! Marc

New year, new plan. Keep at it Steven!

I will. Thank you Michael!
Steven

So sorry to hear about your problems but you seem to have a plan. We wish you every success in 2019.
Colette and Philip

Thanks Colette and Philip!

Much success to you two as well in 2019!

Steven

Steven,
I have made my New Years Task List
it is manageable because I started it
in December for a try out LOL - but
I am getting more done and in a less
timeframe than before.
Thank you for sharing yours,
Happy New Year,
Susan

Thank you Susan!

Happy new year to you too! Be careful with planning too much. It is great when we get things sorted when we are motivated, but we also have to do them when we are not there at all. That is the hard part in this (in everything).
