To Follow or NoFollow!
Hi everyone,
Just another short update, (I didn’t want to put it in my last blog post).
Another update I did today, spending 10 hours (with breaks), was to take out ‘nofollow’ code out of all my posts where it wasn’t needed.
I was naive!I originally added them because I didn’t want to pass on ‘link juice’ as it’s called. However, I read that this can hurt your SEO ranking.
The best practice is to follow authority sites and to nofollow your affiliate links.
My site has been quite stagnant for a while, but has seen a slight increase as of late. Hopefully this is because of recent updates.
Wishing for great things!I’m hoping though that this latest fix will help my site greatly and see my rankings soar.
I just hope because in my opinion my site is looking quite professional. There’s still a few things I need to fix but on the whole I am pleased at the improvements I have made for the last 4/5 months.
Wish me luck.

First of all, you don't have any "‘link juice’" to pass on, so why are you making it difficult for yourself?
Well I thought I would, seeing as it's 2 years old already and have built up quite a solid foundation with it already.
simple answer - Nofollow is an HTML attribute value used to instruct search engines bots that a hyperlink should not influence the link target's ranking in the search engine's index.
Still sounds a little too technical for me, but does that mean for search engines not to follow that page to rank it?
Typically like your privacy policy page for example!
This is a learning experience for all of us. Thanks for the post, I am continually learning from everyone here on WA. There is so much to learn and there is no way we can pay attention to all of it. A lot is going to be trial and error.
Yep Jerry, I'm sure it will. I just can't believe how much my site has progressed over the last 4/5 months.
