How are you all doing? Good I hope.
I just wanted to give a little review of what I have been doing lately. I'm still plodding along but I'm in a good place at the moment so I'm happy.
If you checked out my previous blog post here you will have seen that I have created my second site, Couch The Boots.
I have been going through the course again while I build out my site. I want to do it right so I thought it best to do the course again.
My second site is quite different from my genealogy site. It's not as technical/scientific, so it's a breath of fresh air.
I've gotten quite personal and chirpy/cheeky with my posts on my new site. And I quite like that.
I have tried to transfer a bit of that to my posts on The Genealogy Guide.
The new site at the moment just includes How To guides. It's just a way for me to get a feel for my new niche.
Once I've finished the course I will start to write Best Of reviews which will bring in the money, (I hope).
Hopefully in time I will have two sites making me money :-)

When I first started here at WA it was a toss up between genealogy and the boots/shoes niche.
Now that I am more confident with creating a site and what goes into it I felt that it was time to start my second site.
I also like how passionate I am about my boots site. That's what helps make affiliate marketing at least easier if you like what you're writing. It's sort of a new area but it has been in the area and everyone wears boots/shoes so it should be quite profitable.
I don't blog here as much as I would like to, because of time, but I will try. Keep checking my sites and take whatever you can from them.

Thanks Mike. I try not to be, but what with work and family life sometimes it is a struggle to keep up with working on my sites.
Yeah they're easy to write as well, (for me anyway).
I feel like my genealogy site has a lot of areas where I can, (and I have), affiliated with. There's great potential with it.
I want to keep my second site simple though, so will only include How To guides and Best Of posts.
