Feeling Low!

Hi everyone,

Don't want to get anyone else down but I'm just feeling a bit low at the moment.

I will get there eventually and I will keep plugging away. I just don't know how much longer it will take.

I know that I need to target the larger priced products but I just wished that I got more visitors.

I think my posts are good enough, maybe not great, but still good. I plug them on social media and send out emails to my subscribers.

I suppose I shouldn't keep checking my affiliate programs but I just want to see a turn in my fortunes.

That's about all.

This happens to everyone my friend. I have felt like this many, many times. It is tough but it will pass. Just try to keep going. Maybe try something different for a while? Join forums and answer questions from people and try to get traffic from them. Try to find a different source to get visitors. Maybe even paid marketing if you can find something that does not cost to much.
I have the same problem for the moment. I do not get enough traffic and it sure is frustrating to create content which hardly anyone reads.
I wish you good luck and hope you soon will get more visitors.

Thanks. I have felt this many times in the past as well. But this time I definitely know that stopping is not an option.

I feel like this because I tried to gain more followers on Facebook and also reached out to a number of genealogy sites asking the hosts if we could link. None of them replied. So it's quite disheartening.

I believe that I now have a site that people can sit up and take notice but I still feel that I am not getting recognized.

Dude,, your so young and have so much time on your side!! I'm 63 years young and just beginning this road. It is a road with windy turns and obstacles along the way. Just keep driving young man and you'll reach your destination. It never stops though. You'll want to diversify and create more websites and more niches. This first site is learning. Then it's plug and play. To have a residual income of 6 , 7 figures you'll need to have some high dollar products eventually. First build a trust and people will trust your knowledge. Be an authority in your niche. Rank high and the sales will come. Jeff

Thanks Jeff for your message. I maybe young but I just want out of my job.

Looking forward for the day when I am earning 6 or 7 figures. Right now yes I am concentrating on my genealogy site and making that a success. It's what I dream more than anything in this world.

I get it!! Jobs do suck!! I too am trying hard to get out. I have 1 1/2 to go til retirement. It's my goal to be 5 figures by Jan. What's yours my friend?

I would really like to be making enough money to quit my job in 6 months time. But it's taken quite a long time so see how it goes.

Don't get too down, I know how you feel, we all do. You've hit that 150th posts it looks like from your previous updates here, so you're right at the edge of more results, just keep going and you'll see more results. Maybe talk to @Josh from Oz (he's bought a house with his amazon earnings already) or @elvalen1987 who just blogged about making $1700 last month from Amazon.

I think your site is Amazon from what I remembered maybe ask those guys how you can improve.

Just keep finding answers and make it work! :)

YOU can do it!

Thanks for that :-)

Giving up is never an option, change of strategy is something to consider. But u are doing well so u will certainly come to that point of greatness, hang in there

Thanks mate, appreciate it. I just keep doing more and more with my site and trying to get noticed but nothing's changing at the moment. Hopefully things will change in time.

I think it's at these moments that we can look deep inside and see our truth.Because you know you are not walking away, the strength of your commitment will fuel you. Take a breath and know we are all here rooting for you. And then with pure intentionality take the next step to unbelievable success.Know you are there. We are all walking this path together..ups and downs. Just keep walking one step at a time. Best wishes, your path is beckoning you.Now see it!

Thank you Ariel. Although researching for posts can be testing at times I do like putting up posts and watching my site grow. I believe that I am building something that is useful to people.

there is your answer. don't stop now.

It happens, but hey, success is always a possibility as long as you keep working at it. Things will change !

I'll keep working at it Joy. Thanks.

Hang in there. We have all been through low points. I have probably had more than my share. I used to check my traffic obsessively and get upset about it. Once I stopped checking all the time and focused on other things, I began to feel better. I imagine it will be the same with checking for sales.

Every single success story that I have read here always says the same thing: "I was going to give up, but...." or "I was close to quitting when..."

You will succeed given enough time. Then you will write your own "I'm so glad I didn't qive up" posts.

Thanks for your kind words Craig. I appreciate it.

I know I shouldn't do it, but if I have a spare moment then I go and check my sales or go to Google Analytic.

I really should do other things during these few minutes, like get followers, or keywords, or whatever.

I will push on and hopefully one day it will all come together.

Its probably a habit now, which may be hard to break. Every time you feel the urge to go check, distract yourself with something, like writing a few paragraphs (or more!) for your site.

Lol, I've just done it, gone to check on keywords instead :-)

Eventually, it will come. Don't let yourself down focus and be grateful for what you have achieved. Being successful start also in the mind.

Thanks. Usually when I have felt down in the past I have questioned whether to continue or not.

This time feels different because I know I want to continue. There is no question about that.

It's just a kick in the teeth when you work so hard yet have nothing to show for it.

Yet!

HI Owain

i've felt the same slightly however I as usual the more experienced guys and girls here have all been through the same thing.

I was told the other day that the summer months are slow do to peoples movements and holidays etc.

Also look at your own spending habits, If you have kids like I do then this makes sense.

during the summer break kids around the world are of school between 6-8 weeks and as you maybe aware kids get expensive
so some of us have to tighten the old purse strings a little in other areas to accommodate this.

Child minding in the UK costs alot of money for instance.

carry on what your doing buddy as you've been here longer than myself so you will know.

there is some brilliant advice and articles left on my blog about it from the other day.

check out Mkearns link and Boomers link to a post he left advise on for another member:

Thanks for the kind words they are very much appreciated. Guess I should have considered that it is summer.

I haven't lost hope and will continue plugging away. I've worked so much for this and I know that my day will come. Just wondering when that will be.

Thanks for the link. Will check it out now.

We just need to be persistent we'll get there!
