I am looking for a good plugin for my post/page area. My plugin is not working correctly. Can't even put bullets in.
you can search on the wordpress and see what comes up.. I know someone talked of buttons.com do not know how good they are wish you luck
Thanks Katie, been researching when I get the answer I will let you know. I think it might have something to do with the theme.
If you go into your website, click plugins, then add new. In the search bar, put tool buttons. Many choices will appear. Choose the one you want, install, and activate. Should work.
this is one way to go, it is little involved, and part of a suite...http://getbootstrap.com/components/
Hey thanks, I might have to take the long involved way, nothing else is working. I think it is the theme.
I'll let you know, and if I have any problems I might pm you if that is ok.
Thanks again!
Sherrie
Are you still using Ultimate Tiny MCE? IF so, uninstall it and use WP Edit instead.
You also have some buttons available to you by clicking the "kitchen sink" button. They really should change that button to something more obvious because no one knows it's text editor options!

Yes Katie you just don't always know until you are too far into you website to do any major changes, so you have to figure it out. Sometimes it takes days to get the right answers.

Does anyone know how to set up an Word 8.1 for sharing your blog directly to your website? Not working when I enter my website name. Do I need to enter a WA URL?
Thanks Andy. just got a new computer and am trying to set everything up on windows 8. There is so much.
I believe Kyle answered the question for me. Don't want to take any chances of getting a virus or hacked.
I don't think it was windows live writer though. Thanks again Andy
I was wondering if you meant using Windows Live Writer? http://wordpress.com/windows-live-writer/ I have used this in the past, and it worked fine. If it is Word, then Kyle's warning should ring loud and clear, which I am sure it has...WordPress 3.9 is supposed to take Word direct and strip the code out without the need for the special copy and paste box. I don't trust that either! I use Wordpad and keep it very plain. However, the new WP editor is great to work with IMO.
Good luck, Andy
I would never recommend this. Word always adds "extra code" that will impact how your website looks and make formatting a nightmare.
I would either create your content directly in the Wordpress editor or if you want a copy of it, create in Word and then when you are ready paste it into the "text" portion of the code.
I personally use Google Docs (free) because it doesn't add all the crazy MS code that Word can add...which can lead to a lot of frustration.

Sherrie, one step at a time, it will come...what you can do is to create a "last pass" account (https://lastpass.com/) and then on your new computer install it there as well.sign in and then ..ALL of your browser history and passwords will be there for you....
It is on the cloud and you get to choose your own cloud and what you put on it, if the visuals help!
Sherrie,
Just Log into WA with your new computer by " log into Wealthy Affiliates " in your browser then click on Wealthy Affiliates.com which will bring up the starter account page top right of page "sign in" click on that then enter your username and password into the appropriate fields. Then your Information will be saved somewhere in your new computer, Once you've done any action on a computer it is automatically saved in that computer.
Ray Bowley ( Merryman88 )
You passwords will be the same, including WA. You should be able to log in directly from your WA account. If not, your passwords listed there will work in the wp login pgae.
Getting a new computer will not affect any logins :)
If you are trying to to transfer passwords that's not as easy as it sounds. But what you could do is, go to the WordPress site for your website then automatically sign in and change the password and user name to meet your needs. Your new computer should automatically prompt you to save the password for future use, click Yes. And repeat the process for as many sites add you would like.
Other way is if you are using Google Chrome, you can back up your browser to their server under your Gmail account and then be able to sign in easier that way.
I hope this helps.

Do you ever feel like you are flying through a wind storm, not really moving very fast? Or even completely understanding where you are going? Well, I have asked myself this qu
I did the entire starter training before I got too far into Bootcamp, so a lot of this is repeat for me. What is new seems to supplement the things I learned in Starter, or along the way from other posts here.
Don't be intimidated if it's slower going than you expected. As things start to click and fall into place, your progress will pick up momentum.
Quite often but when I look at my work journal I can see how far I have come, now coming into the really uncomfortable zone when things start becoming a bit more technical, so might be asking for some assistance, your doing well just keep going, not onto bootcamp as yet need to finish my niche first
Hello Katie; Yes I agree, you do have to look back to really see you are moving forward. you are doing well also keep up the good work.
I've had a lot of success with bootcamp, but I also had 3 years of being at WA before I started bootcamp in 2013.
The thing about any course in WA is that once you finish, you just need to keep blogging and improving your site.
More content = more traffic, and more traffic means you can understand better what people are doing on your site. Then you can make changes that will bring in sales.
I started a niche site first and didn't get far with the Bootcamp training because I decided to make my niche site successful first. Now I'm wondering if I should go ahead and start Bootcamp again.
~Amanda
Not sure I started my niche site and stopped to do bootcamp now my other site needs some tlc and I am starting to get noticed there. Just keep moving forward. I have been enjoying your stuff on G+.
Sherrie
Thanks for sharing your experience. Every bit of the learning process is worth while. I am enjoying it. My best wishes.
Thank you for sharing Inspiration 1.
I am glad you are enjoying the Bootcamp experience here at Wealthy Affiliate.
Sherrie
For me, going through the Bootcamp has been a worthwhile learning experience. I am not concerned about how fast I move through the courses but how well I am able to comprehend and more importantly apply the principles.
Sherrie, thanks for this thought-provoking self-assessment question.

Hello Ade;

Doing my privacy Policy. Does WA have a SSL or secure socket Layer protocol? Don't want to put false information in my application through Form Swift.
Hey Sherrie,
You do not need SSL unless you are accepting credit cards on your website. The only "security" that you need is to protect your privacy is private registration so that your contact details are protected. To do this you can simply add private registration to your domain at your domain registrar.
SSL is NOT something that anyone here at WA needs.
Carson
Thank you Carson.
My future plan would be to have an affiliate page on my website, I would be selling products for another company(100% Pure)
would that be something I would need a SSL for or would the other company supply this? I do have my own domain name now, Just trying to get through some training before I start something else. It is paid for for a year.
No, you do not need SSL for this. As an affiliate you will never take care of accepting payments on your site as the payment happens on the merchant website.
You should be focusing on creating an affiliate business right now and not worrying about technical things like SSL that are not necessary.
Keep following the training, we do not leave anything out!
Getting your own domain name is a great way to rank better and connect with your audience more effectively. As mentioned above, this is explained in the training so if you have your niche chosen and SiteRubix website ready to go, you can move it over to a domain that you own at any time.
