How You Can Embrace Your Future Self

• Are you ready to rip off the shackles that have been holding you back?
• Are you ready to shine and let that internal beautiful self radiate through?

Can I get a YES I AM!

How are you going to get there? What are you going to do today for your future tomorrow? Hear me when I say to you that you gotta commit. Make these commitments today.

1) Commit to Skilling Up

Learn 1 thing new every week. YouTube provides a free opportunity to learn many subjects which could have a direct impact on your learning. 1 a week for 52 weeks could make a massive difference. If you have a little budget you can do more focused or accredited training on platforms like Udemy, EdX, Masterclass, Teachable and many more. At the end of each month, you should be able to mark down something you have learned. Who's with me?

2) Commit to Overcoming your fears.

You have heard this one before but let's take some action. Pick a small fear and let's just overcome it. Me first? Okay, I have been unwilling to reach out to some top influencers in my niche. Why? Feeling like perhaps they would not be interested in a small fry like me. But I won’t know till I try, right? Change my mindset. Right? So I just wrote 3 emails to the top 3 in my field for interviews. Wish me luck.

3) Commit to a buddy.

Sometimes it's easier to come out of your comfort zone if you got a wingman, someone that will make the journey with you. Someone that will keep you accountable. Do you have one? If so try to do a challenge together. Perhaps it’s doing a 60-second video on anything. Or doing a class together. Whatever it is use it as an opportunity to encourage and achieve a harder-to-reach goal.

4) Commit to a Mirror test

Remember that nursery rhyme, mirror mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all. Ask someone you respect to comment on ways they think you can improve yourself. Now don’t get upset. Take their constructive criticism with an open mind and work on those blind spots of character that you are not able to clearly see. Believe me, you will be better off for doing this.

5) Commit to Stretch Yourself

What's really the point in setting out goals that are easy to achieve. Do these goals challenge you or are they already well within your capability? You have to stretch yourself beyond your usual capacity. Think Big. Something that there is a little risk involved but if you achieve it you will feel like you can stretch yourself to new limits.

6) Commit to get a mentor or coach.

It really does not make sense to reinvent the wheel. The faster approach is to work with someone that has already travelled the road. Someone that can advise you on the best pathway so you can avoid the pitfalls. Are you using your mentor? Are you leveraging their expertise? If you do not have one try to see if you can partner with one. This will help you immensely with the achievement of your goals.

7) Commit to your personal growth.

If you don't do anything else that has been listed above then there is one thing that I would really advise you to do. That is to commit to your personal growth and development. I might not have identified a pathway for you above. You know yourself and what you are capable of. You have to take the required action necessary for your personal development - no one else is going to do it for you. Not your mother, father, girlfriend, boyfriend. If you really desire the change to your future self you are going to have to dig hard and work for it. Just pick one of the steps. While the results may not come right away, as long as you persevere, you will start to see the positive changes in your life.
