Konnichiwa dear readers,

Kyle here, coming at you live from Osaka Japan!

First things first, let's address the elephant in the room: It's been quite awhile.. in fact, almost a month since my last blog post. I know.. I know I said I would blog every day, keeping track of my journey through the wealthy affiliate crucible and keeping you, dear reader informed/educated along the way. I failed, there really is no excuse other than I scored a new supplier for one of my drop shipping stores in Japan and didn't think twice before throwing myself at this opportunity.

That being said, I want to talk a bit about time management and how important it is because I failed miserably at managing my time when I got busy. Sure I could say that there are 24 hours in a day and I committed to this and failed and.. I would be right, this is definitely "strike one" but there are no "outs" in this game. Oh no dear reader.. The only time I'm out is if I give up and that's something I'll fail to do.. with pride! :)

Time management is important, I won't waste your time telling you that because we all know it and likely read 9 millions books and watched $10-$15 Udemy courses on it, but what I will say is that I find working on things in short, manageable bursts, is far more effective than trying to do everything all at once. I'm not saying it can't be done, it can, I do it regularly but I also gas out eventually and I will often need time to recharge my batteries, I risk losing interest when the more familiar routine shows is pretty face.. but that fair maiden has a name: "Ms. Right Now." The sexy, comfortable one that will break your heart when you run of money keeping up with her comfy, familiar lifetyle.. Instead I should be sticking with "Mrs. Right" the one that supports my ambitions and dreams, it became a love/hate affair and I lost productivity because of it.

Consistency is key and I found that environment plays a large role in staying consistent. I like to go somewhere comfortable, away from all my distractions at home and work on my site. I make a regular routine out of it. I set a time and if I'm feeling it, I'll go a bit over, but no more than an hour or two. I still make time for play, because it's a reminder for why I set out to do this in the first place: I want more time to do the things I love while spending less time on the things I dislike.

Until next time good readers!

-Kyle

PS: In case you are wondering about my new site: I hit a few snags design wise but I'm staying true to my original promise and just focusing on the content, it's still king and I love creating it. I'm confident that I will have the flaws sorted out and finally have a website I can be proud of in the next few weeks or so.
